Is it time for a who's going to the W2 Inaugural Ball and where will you be staying (and what will you be wearing) thread?

Click for Ball Info

If so, I'll start off.

The Good Lord willing, Sheila and I will be there accompanied by Syncro, and we'll be staying at the Washington Plaza Hotel. Chris is working and won't be able to take time off to drive us across country so our good friend Syncro has offered to take us. We'll be taking the southern route and will spend a few days in Florida before heading up to Washington, DC. Hope to visit as many chapters as we can along the way. And if anyone wants to join a cross country convoy, that would be great!

Sheila and I are thinking about cowboy hats and boots. We're in the mood for some boot, scoot and boogie!

Chris may be able to take a couple days off so he can fly out for the Ball, but he doesn't know yet. John and Tami will also be there and her son Nicky and her mom.

This is going to be a great ball!

Hope to see you there!!

I wish I could be there, but going to the Tri-state party in NYC will have to suffice. Hubby's coming with me, yee-ha! Might be a new freeper in the making with him.

HAVE MUCHO FUN!

My wife and I will attend the ball. We are flying to D.C. on the 18th, Tue. and will be leaving on the 23rd. My daughter, son, and his girlfriend are coming also, but they are staying with my brother the night of the ball in Columbia, Md. We will be staying in College Park, Md. at the Quality Inn and Suites. We all are going to the Inaugural parade or ceremony. We haven't decided which, yet. Probably, we will go to the parade and stand with rest of the Freepers.

*Sniff* I WISH I could go. 1/20 is my birthday so every four years I either have an excuse to party, or drown my sorrows.

Syncro is Grate! He even leased us his brother's cabin over on the coast for a dollar a week and he's got this neat London Bridge in Arizona that he's thinking about letting us have for a grately reduced price. Any gratutate from MSU is A-OK in my book.

I live only about thirty-five miles away from DC, so I will be commuting in some manner.

I am looking forward to meeting everyone!

Haven't heard anything about the Tri-State party yet - did I miss it on the message board? I went to one once, I think.......

My wife and I will be driving down from Connecticut on the 19th and staying at the Days Inn in College Park. I know that she will be wearing a gown of some sort - she just bought it and is keeping it a secret until the ball. Tux for me (assuming I can still fit into it after Christmas feasting!). We haven't figured out where to stand for the parade yet - it has literally been 30 years since I was last in DC.

I'm going. I guess I better send a Pay Pal message. :)

This is a quick turnaround for me. No hotel in D.C. would take a one night reservation. I got one of the last ones available at a Days Inn just a few miles away. Now, they will only take 3 or 4 day stays.

he's got this neat London Bridge in Arizona

That is a sight to behold...Mrs. Bat and I stopped there in June on the way to Kingman, AZ to scout the region as a possible "outta Kali" destination.

(Wouldn't live in Havasu OR Kingman if housing was free, it turns out!)
