I wish I could be there, but going to the Tri-state party in NYC will have to suffice. Hubby's coming with me, yee-ha! Might be a new freeper in the making with him.
HAVE MUCHO FUN!

Staying at the Crystal City Marriott, wearing a Tux (with matching heels, of course--just kidding. . .about the heels that is).

*Sniff* I WISH I could go. 1/20 is my birthday so every four years I either have an excuse to party, or drown my sorrows.

I live only about thirty-five miles away from DC, so I will be commuting in some manner.
I am looking forward to meeting everyone!

I'm going. I guess I better send a Pay Pal message. :)
This is a quick turnaround for me. No hotel in D.C. would take a one night reservation. I got one of the last ones available at a Days Inn just a few miles away. Now, they will only take 3 or 4 day stays.

I bet you guys are going to have a grate time on your road trip back east with Syncro at the wheel. :-)

I am going with three others: My wife Joanne, Dr. Wesley McDonald (author of the new biography: Russell Kirk and the Age of Ideology) and his wife Alice. We live 2 1/2 hours away in South Central Pennsylvania. We haven't booked a hotel yet because we are considering just renting a limo from here for the day and coming directly home after the ball. If that's too rich, we'll end up staying in Maryland and going the subway route. There still seem to be plenty of rooms available in the suburbs.

Flying in on the 17th; leaving 21st. Gotta do some sight-seeing while I'm there! Staying at the Swiss Inn, just six blocks from the WH. The room has a futon sofa if anyone needs a place to crash. (And with a little kitchenette, breakfast in bed is a distinct possibility!) :)
I'll be wearing a long ball gown with way too much skin showing! Brrrrr!

Hi everyone - Dorothy and Joe here. We are from Virginia, of course, and just moved our hotel reservations to the Club Quarters in downtown D. C. We were booked at
The Days Inn in Arlington but wanted to get closer in town. We are probably paying triple what the room usually rents for. Oh well.
Looking forward to meeting everyone.

Shethink13, daughter BlondeKates, daughter's college roomie, daughter's friend, and a friend of the family will be there. It's going to be a girl's wild weekend for us - arriving the 19th and leaving the 22nd. We'll be staying at the Residence Inn in Pentagon City.
Sure hope we can make the Inauguration Eve get together - any news on that front yet?
We plan on dressing formal - any excuse to get dressed up.

Pay Pal just sent the money! If Mrs. DFU can go on a crochet cruise to Mexico in February, I sure as heck can go to this thing!
