Doctors: Yushchenko Poisoned With Dioxin
Yahoo.com ^ | 11 Dec 04 | SA

VIENNA, Austria - The mysterious illness of Ukrainian opposition leader and presidential candidate Viktor Yushchenko was caused by dioxin poisoning that was likely intentional, doctors said Saturday.

Yushchenko has accused Ukrainian authorities of trying to poison him in the runup to a presidential vote marred by fraud. Ukraine's Supreme Court voided the outcome of that vote, which Yushchenko lost to Prime Minister Viktor Yanukovych, and a rerun of the ballot is slated for Dec. 26.

Yushchenko first fell ill in September and was rushed to the Vienna hospital. He resumed campaigning later in the month but with a pockmarked and badly disfigured face.

He returned to the hospital later in September for further treatment and checked in for a third time Friday.

I saw his wife on tv this morning recounting how she could detect it on his lips and breath.

But the stupid tv reporter didn't ask her where'd Yuschencko had been.

Until your post, I'd never seen anyone say.

...I knew someone would start blaming him once poison was proved...

I'm not blaming him. I merely am asking questions.

Is that alright?

Too bad, he was an exceptionally handsome and telegenic man.

I am still shocked that the "before" and "after" photos are the same man.

You're right it was just a question and I reacted harshly.

I have been expecting this all along through. As soon as a poisoning was confirmed, some will say he did it to himself.

Let me ask you a question:

Yushchenko and his wife are smooching. His wife tells him while they are smoothing that there is a smell coming from his mouth. Yushchenko responds as they are smooching that she shouldn't worry about it. I could think of several reasons why he would say this. None of them have to do with the guy voluntarily drinking dioxin.

You can't?

Oh, but he did it to himself to gain sympathy before the election.

It was a very interesting radio interview, and I didn't get the name of the man, but he's American-born, of Ukraine descent, who is with a Ukraine alliance. I just wasn't listening closely at the beginning to get his name.

It was the first I had heard about the dinner he had been to that evening, or that his wife had noticed it on his mouth after that dinner.

I think it was a warning because dioxin is NOT poisionous to humans despite what the enviromental wackos will tell you, although a large amount can make you ill. Heck, he had 1000 times what is considered a "safe" level in his blood (probably even more than that) and all it did was make his skin look pocked and blotchy.

You can't?...

I just asked a question. I'm not saying he poisoned himself. I just thought it odd that he said not to worry about it.

If he hadn't taken anything, then why say that?

If you're smooching with someone and they say "Honey, have you been taking medicine? I taste something funny."

If you haven't, your reply would probably be: "No, dear, I haven't. Why, what does it taste like?"

But, if you HAD taken something and you KNEW it might be bad, wouldn't your answer be similar to: "Don't worry about it dear"???

Now, let me repeat: I"M NOT SAYING HE POISONED HIMSELF.

It's just that what she said he said struck me as odd.

Dioxin? There is no single compound known as dioxin.

He is at a greatly increased risk of cancer. The horribly disfiguring chloracne is the least of his problems.

Same crap they have been telling for years. In Italy, about 30 years ago a factory had a malfunction and released literally tons and tons of dioxin into the atmosphere. The usual gloom and doom envirowackos immediately began screaming about all the deformed babies that were going to be born and all the increased cancer rates, blah, blah, blah. Well it turns out that the babies born to pregnant women in the are were NOT born with two heads and no legs and three arms, they were as healthy as the rest of the babies born in the same year in different areas. And 30 years later there is NO increase in cancer among humans who were exposed to it.

However, in Times Beach, Missouri, dioxin was mixed with oil and sprayed on gravel roads to reduce dust. Some envirowacko started screaming about the sky falling and the US government condemned and bought the whole area. To date, we have spent something like $60 BILLION paying men to scrape the dirt off the ground, haul it off and burn it.

Now, tell me who overreacted in the above two events.

Funny thing is here Destro that Yanukovych's team was the one that talked about "Bad Sushi" before the doctors could confirm anything...

Kind of interesting that his opponent's supporters were pointing to a possible cause with certainty before anything was mentioned as to WHAT caused the poisoning or that it was poisoning at all, isn't it? Care to explain how they knew what supposedly caused it before it was known why he was sick?
