The conventional wisdom of the political punditry has been proven wrong again. A huge national voter turnout was thought to favor the Democrat candidate, but Pres. Bush's national popular vote count from the Nov. 2, 2004 general election has now exceeded 62 million votes. As of 12/10/04, Pres. Bush has received 62,019,003 votes. The states of NY and PA have certified their official results in the past two days which pushed Pres. Bush's vote count over the 62 million mark. CA will certify its results tomorrow, but almost all CA votes are already included in the Bush total (by obtaining vote counts from CA county websites). Only MN, ME and a few other states have yet to certify their official results.
You'd better start talking fast if you don't want to get Zotted.
This is a meaningless statistic, IMO. The relevent statistics in the 1984 election are that Reagan demolished Mondale by 59-41%, an eye-poppoing 18% advantage, and took an astonishing 525 EV's (vs Mondale's 13 EV's, his home state and the welfare state of DC), giving Reagan a whopping 513 EV advantage.

Read this guy In-Forum - no doubt this one's a troll!
* this excludes dead people, BTW, but not necessarily properly registered zombies.
Lime cat doesn't need to be suspicious - read his previous posts. Troll.
Poor Jesse Jackson..... he must be crying in his Ovaltine!
No wonder Moveon.Org is energized: 59 million voted for a lying communist that committed treason from 1971-? and may be involved in tampering with US and Australian elections.
bump! :^D
Just got done reading it's posts.

I'm a big Reagan fan (check my moniker), but the fact that Pres. Bush has exceeded Pres. Reagan's vote record by 7.6 million votes while garnering only 50.8% of the popular vote is truly amazing. It's a testament to the Bush/Rove strategy of driving up the Republican turnout. Pres. Bush has been the best party builder in the history of the Republican Party. The Republicans have made gains in the US Senate and House in BOTH the 2002 and 2004 elections. Not even Pres. Reagan could accomplish that feat. The last Republican President to do it was Calvin Coolidge!!
Yes. The concepts of tact, etiquette, gamesmanship, picking your battles, high-brow politics, etc. are lost on many.
Looke kinda like Lucianne Goldberg?
Reagan's electoral victory in 1980 and his popular vote/electoral vote victory in 1984 dwarf the outcome of this years election victory by PresBush. It's great that Bush beat Kerry, but any comparison between Reagan's two landslide wins and Bush`s close reelection victory in 2004, is a dishonest effort to tear down The Gipper, in order the build up Bush43. Something both Reagan and Bush would wholeheartedly disapprove of.

With all that, the Dems still lost the election by more than three million votes! The Democrat Party, the 527s, the stupid rich men (Soros, etc.), the unions, the media, and assorted special interest groups pulled out all the stops to beat Pres. Bush but still got their butts kicked. That's why this election has been so devastating for the Left. They believed that Pres. Bush was easy pickings. They "misunderestimated" him again. FOUR MORE YEARS!!!!!
I think that's a large, unripe orange or grapefruit!
I know,
But I LOVE Lime Cat! LOL!
I feel SO sorry for the poor kitty!
It looks SO disgruntled.
LOL!
