HOBART, Ind. - A woman's effort to assuage her 6-year-old son's fears of his grandfather's ghost by selling it on eBay has drawn more than 34 bids with a top offer of $78.
Mary Anderson said she placed her father's "ghost" on the online auction site after her son, Collin, said he was afraid the ghost would return someday. Anderson said Collin has avoided going anywhere in the house alone since his grandfather died last year.

Boo!
LOL....that brings back memories...
when she was about 2, my daughter had an imaginary friend..."Marilyn". Those two never got along....fought constantly....Marilyn was a thoroughly unpleasant child. I told my husband I'll be she's got a parole officer somewhere wondering where she is.
:-)
Is your son an only child?
LOL
An old fart in a jar?
Something inside of me would make me do something bad.
Dear kid of dead grandpa:
I never knew what I was in for. Your grandfather's ghost keeps me awake at night by poking me in the belly. He frightens the cat and won't stop opening the peanut butter and leaving it on the counter.
I asked him (IT?) to be reasonable and he came at me with a switch from my willow tree. When he punches me, I yell "NOT IN THE FACE!!". Despite this, I woke up with a swollen lip and a black eye.
Things were okay for a while, but then (on a whim) I broke your grandfather's cane over my knee and yelled his name out three times. Ever since, he has been sneaking liquor from the cabinet and has tried to set the house ablaze more than once.
Your grandfather is a real piece of work. Next time your mom auctions off a dead relative's spirit, please remind her to tell the buyer that her relatives are all sacks of... sugar.
Love,
The Buyer.

A bargin @ $9,400 now
Grandfather's cane. It comes with ghost as a complete set.
I've bought things on Ebay several times, but I've often wondered what happens if you don't pay. Can Ebay force the highest bidder to pay?
The Tooth Fairy is next
I feel very sorry for the child not being able to cope with his grandfather's death. Apparently the child and likely his parents have no serious religious beliefs. They need our prayers not our bids on E-bay.
Dear Kid of Dead Grandpa,
At first the ghost of your Grandfather liked it here, but I guess he didn't like my cooking so he is headed back to your house. He is really mad at your mother for auctioning him off. I hope he doesn't hurt her...
Now, why is this woman letting her son stay up late at night listening to Coast to Coast?
Up to $10,100.
Think they'll pull this one like the cheese madonna?
LOL! Almost!!
Hard to say....Auction has been going for 3.5 hours with 6 days to go. A physical item is to be sold. I'd say a few more hours will tell.
