The cold, rainy conditions during the dedication of the William J. Clinton Presidential Center on Nov. 18 didnt dampen the impact of the week-long celebration, according to figures released Thursday. "I think the week exceeded expectations," said Skip Rutherford, president of the William J. Clinton Presidential Foundation. "Monday through Wednesday and Friday and Saturday were great days for Little Rock and Arkansas," Rutherford said. "Thursday, with the presidents and the first ladies coming together in a bipartisanship show of support, was a great day for America."
Although predictions call for near record levels of hotel and restaurant tax revenue, figures will not be available until Dec. 20, Rutherford said.
Figures released Thursday by the Little Rock Convention and Visitors Bureau and the Clinton foundation indicate that thousands of people crowded the River Market District the evening before the dedication and about 25,000 attended the dedication itself. The Clinton Museum store surpassed $250,000 in sales in its first four days, surpassing the annual sales of some other presidential library gift shops.
More than 20,000 people visited the Clinton presidential center from Nov. 17-23, Rutherford said.

Bill Clinton is indeed the gift that keeps on giving.
If this is the best spin the Clintonistas can muster, the Clinton Library is already a failure and Little Rock better be looking elsewhere for the boost in tourism it was expecting!!! Let's see this week's attendace figures.

What will they do with that Crappy looking building when the hard core idiots have all stopped coming?
Plans for the W88 warhead for certain "Chinese visitors."
From a distance, pictures I've seen of the building make it look like a single wide house trailer set up on cement blocks. How appropriate.....
