Excitement at NCSU
Vanity

Posted on 11/24/2004 7:08:57 PM PST by NCjim

I just returned from NCSU main campus a while ago - there were a number of fire trucks and emergency vehicles surrounding Daniels Hall. The streets were blocked off but the office could not reveal what was going on. NBC 17 had a van there but I see nothing on any of the local TV or news web sites. Anybody know what's going on over there?

I had the best sex of my young life with a co-ed roommate... until her husband showed up halfway through the year. Ugh.

"Are you having fun tonight?"

Well, yes. More than usual thanks to a belly full of Thanksgiving wine.

"Ah... the good life!"

I like cats too. But they are second citizens to dogs. I have a real problem with people who have cats on their home page and no dogs. It is a warning sign to me. I don't understand your posts to me and I don't really give a s**t frankly. Explain yourself or expect my indignation;

This usually happens when someone fails to cover up the smoke detector in their room before lighting up a cigarette or joint.

Sorry. Just teasing you a little bit. I saw you on another thread and you just seemed to be more serious than the rest of us on both.

Never mind.

So seriousness is a fault in your eyes. Maybe you should study a little bit or have children of your own so that you can look in their eyes and imagine their dying on 9/11. Serious? Hell I am as funny as Red Skelton. No need to be sorry. But if you want to engage on this thread don't be cowardly and try to pick off some idiot like me to make fun of. It isn't noble. I'm as friendly as the next guy but I don't take kindly to personal attacks. You may attack my opinions as you wish. I'm sure you are a nice person so be that way.

I didn't mean it as a personal attack at all, and I wasn't making fun of you. I'm sorry that you took me wrong.

Seriousness isn't a fault at all. Forgive me for trying to liven you up a little bit. I won't post to you again.

Post to me all you want. Just be more direct about it. And, by the way, I have 3 cats (well depending on how you count it it could be 4), and I love them all. But the worst part is, I have three dogs. Tonight we have 4 dogs (boarder). The problem with it is the cats. Our oldest cat has no fear of dogs and blithely walks up to them on the street. Her son, our #2cat, while being the most human of all cats I have ever known is deathly afraid of anything unusual, especially strange dogs. So we have this standoff, partial standoff and no standoff between 4 cats and 4 dogs. (We also have a fish and we just gave away two birds to a good home.) Peace.

Quite the menagerie you have! I'd like to have a dog, but my cats are older and I doubt they would adjust.

In my experience, they all adjust. But one must have a strong hand. In other words, "if you don't accept this cat/dog/gerbit/rabbit/ I am going to beat the s**t out of you. Amazingly they come around. And I never have to carry out my threat, just yell at them that I will. I have never beaten a dog or any animal but I have verbally threatened to. The react to that with positive thinking.
