(Vanity) Why are so many liberal women "mean girls"?

Have just finished reading the numerous replies -- some of them truly heart breaking -- of this evening's post "Lost an Old Friend Today. Politics and the Personal"; and I find that far and away most of these intense,friendship-breaking liberals mentioned in these posts are women. (Obviously, not all.)

Add to this that in many news stories it seems to be chiefly women who protest this or that by climbing trees or running around with their blouses off; or that when it come to really off-the-wall legal ruling(s), college admin. decisions, local government declarations, etc. odds are pretty darn good that,well, cherchez le femme (Once again, obviously not all.)

So that got me wondering why are so many "everyday" (non-MSM types) female liberals so intense/noisy/nasty/passionate/insistent/mean spirited? The MSM types I can understand. After all, bad manners make good publicity, and good publicity sells more books, gets one more TV appearances, more time on the lecture circuit, etc.

But I'm talking about everyday liberal women who have nothing to gain, and so very much to lose.... Why do they do what they do and act the way they act?*

I'd sure like to here some opinions on that.

*(And IMHO not that many of them seem to mellow with age.)

There is a lot of anger out there in the female population as a whole, based on their perception that they are smarter than men and yet men run things, by and large. This anger is particularly strong among the uglier women, who do not even have the ability to use feminine wiles to get there way, like their more-attractive cousins do.

I think liberal women see government as the father/husband figure that is lacking in their own lives. Without that government safety net, they fear they will some day end up as bag ladies. So when confronted by conservative views like "Let's cut taxes and shrink government," they hear, "Let's throw Prunella Progressive out on the street."

And they react viciously. ;)

Here's a sample of what I said:

Somebody remarked that Michael Moore equates terrorists with heroes. I said, "I don't know, he doesn't put GWB with our fallen soldiers."

Somebody else said that most women weren't political. I said, "And most women stay at home with the kids, right?"

I think you're onto something. I hate gettting Freudian, but most of the true-believer liberal women I've known have had severe Daddy issues. Daddy did (or failed to do) something, or wasn't even there, and they're carrying around this enormous load of anger that they'd like to dump on him but since he's not available, they dump it on everyone else instead.

Because good men have not lead these women out of their morass.

You may have to lay low about politics while you get to know her. Once she has made a commitment to you, however, she will be open to persuasion. It is our responsibility to provide leadership, not just complain.

True, but one must consider the implications of being on prozac, and the like, too long! The side affect, long term affects, and as with any drug, adverse affects are staggering. More and more doctors are pushing it too. It's not just prozac, but busbar, and many others. Sometimes these people end up on 2 or 3, each addition to counteract side effects. Winds up producing wacky people.

Or more likely, she'll just get even angrier with you, end a lot of arguments by screaming, "I DON'T CARE WHAT THE FACTS ARE, THAT'S HOW I FEEL!" and eventually max out the credit cards, clean out the bank accounts, then boot your ass out the door and end up with the kids, the house, and the car.
