Because good men have not lead these women out of their morass.
You may have to lay low about politics while you get to know her. Once she has made a commitment to you, however, she will be open to persuasion. It is our responsibility to provide leadership, not just complain.
Or more likely, she'll just get even angrier with you, end a lot of arguments by screaming, "I DON'T CARE WHAT THE FACTS ARE, THAT'S HOW I FEEL!" and eventually max out the credit cards, clean out the bank accounts, then boot your ass out the door and end up with the kids, the house, and the car.
