(Vanity) Why are so many liberal women "mean girls"?
11/24/04 | Yankeedame

Have just finished reading the numerous replies -- some of them truly heart breaking -- of this evening's post "Lost an Old Friend Today. Politics and the Personal"; and I find that far and away most of these intense,friendship-breaking liberals mentioned in these posts are women. (Obviously, not all.)

Add to this that in many news stories it seems to be chiefly women who protest this or that by climbing trees or running around with their blouses off; or that when it come to really off-the-wall legal ruling(s), college admin. decisions, local government declarations, etc. odds are pretty darn good that, well, cherchez le femme (Once again, obviously not all.)

So that got me wondering why are so many "everyday" (non-MSM types) female liberals so intense/noisy/nasty/passionate/insistent/mean spirited? The MSM types I can understand. After all, bad manners make good publicity, and good publicity sells more books, gets one more TV appearances, more time on the lecture circuit, etc.

But I'm talking about everyday liberal women who have nothing to gain, and so very much to lose.... Why do they do what they do and act the way they act?*

I'd sure like to here some opinions on that.

*(And IMHO not that many of them seem to mellow with age.)

Liberalism is the result of bad parenting. Period.

You've gotta be mean to be able to cold-bloodedly kill your own unborn child. As to WHY they do it, it has to be because they're SELFISH, because the world revolves around THEM, because they put THEMSELVES above all others, because they only love themselves.

Nah, plenty of good conservative parents end up raising liberal children. It's not parenting that's determinative of the status of liberal.

Another bitter, hateful, self-loathing liberal woman.

Also notice that liberal 'men' always seem to yell at women. Real tough guys....

That has been my experience and they always have this "funny" look in their eyes. I guess I have to say they can intimidate me with that look and I don't intimidate easily.

While many Italian Americans lament the image of the mafia-types, I always embraced it.

If people want to be intimidated by my looks and surname (which happens to be a famous mafia family name, no relation), why should I let them down?

Seems like it works for me! Haha!

I agree. There is something messing up the chemistry when there is lots of negativity and hatred. I believe this negativity is being used in an addictive way, much like the runner gets a high from running. I think that isolation may move such people in this direction. When they do not get stimulation from the rich fabric of social interaction, they resort to other substitutes which are addictive in nature. Negativity, hatred and rage become a lifestyle.

Because they are denying their God given nature to aspire to be the mothers of children and loyal wives to men.

Feminism is a nasty lie, based on hatred towards men and envy of God's natural order. Most of the original movers and shakers of the so-called "womens' movement" were and are lesbians who hate men.

Naturally girls want a husband and children. But feminism is trying to root out this natural longing, and the result is women who are angry, frustrated, lonely, hateful, bitter, and many of them actually psychotic.

Hi Bay-

Please use as desired! As I drafted the post, I tried to consider everything I had witnessed over the past twenty or so years. Sometimes it was comical, while at other times it was downright tragic. Have a Happy Thanksgiving today.

Lots of conservative parents are lousy parents. Political philosophy does not usually result from thinking about politics, or listening to your parents talk about politics.
