Have just finished reading the numerous replies -- some of them truly heart breaking -- of this evening's post "Lost an Old Friend Today. Politics and the Personal"; and I find that far and away most of these intense,friendship-breaking liberals mentioned in these posts are women. (Obviously, not all.)
Add to this that in many news stories it seems to be chiefly women who protest this or that by climbing trees or running around with their blouses off; or that when it come to really off-the-wall legal ruling(s), college admin. decisions, local government declarations, etc. odds are pretty darn good that,well, cherchez le femme (Once again, obviously not all.)
So that got me wondering why are so many "everyday" (non-MSM types) female liberals so intense/noisy/nasty/passionate/insistent/mean spirited? The MSM types I can understand. After all, bad manners make good publicity, and good publicity sells more books, gets one more TV appearances, more time on the lecture circuit, etc.
But I'm talking about everyday liberal women who have nothing to gain, and so very much to lose.... Why do they do what they do and act the way they act?*
I'd sure like to here some opinions on that.
*(And IMHO not that many of them seem to mellow with age.)
Where are they running around with their blouses off?
Could get a good roll-up if we decide to freep them.
They want the attention.
In a related question, why are the women who are most vocal about women being treated as sex-objects the least in danger of such treatment?
Worth looking into.
Far too many of them just can't get a date with a real man. Their careers aren't going as well as they hoped, and lesbian experimentation is getting boring. Life has passed them by, and they just can't stand it.
I think that liberal women are more psychotic than conservative women. Liberalism is a mental illness.
Savage is correct on this. It's a mental disease, perhaps compounded by hormonal imbalance.

I think a lot of people--male and female, but with an edge to the women--feel powerless toward certain power figures in their lives they cannot lash out against (bosses, spuses, parents), so they invest their attitudes toward power in politics.
Savage is on to something. I liken liberalism with a sort of psychosis brought on by years of self loathing, guilt, and brainwashing through the popular culture.
Remember, most women are neither left, right, or even political. However, the Leftist females I've known have been hideously amoral.

They've been trained to do so from a very young age by our public education system.
Because there aren't any Red State men around to tame them.
In short, they are pretty much angry with themselves. When they cannot accept the idea that they are their biggest problem, they lash out.
Conservetive women on the other hand are comfortable with themselves and don't have to go around making excuses for thier failings. They face them like adults and GROW UP.
