According to WTMJ-Am radio news, the hunter accused of killing six hunters is now claiming he was shot at first. He is saying he left property the first time he was asked and the other hunters followed him, surrounded him, called him racial and other names, and shot at him first.
The "assault weapon" hype didn't stick
I'm surprised it didn't. Them SKS's look pretty nasty ya know.
Looks just like a normal 2d amendment approved duck hunting rifle to me
And if you don't think some people call the Hmong residents of the Twin Cities bad names, you're dreaming. It happens all the time.
Your implications can not be any clearer.
I've been called the most foul and deragatory names by liberals and I didn't kill anyone. You'll have to take my word for it.
The SKS is a great little gun. Best bang for the buck out there and the ammo is dirt cheap.
What good would that do? Half of his family has been adopted by white americans as they try to rescue a child. A child that will grow up asian and minority in america that can still use the race card, that will dislike whites just like all other minorities.
"I think they did call him a racial name. But that would not be enough to kill them"
I'm shocked at all the people jumping to conclusions that these hunters turned into a bunch of yahoo racists based on one statement by the guy who did the shooting.
Hey, listen to the hunting stories by other posters. These guys called him names. I'm willing to bet the farm on it. But like I said that's no basis to kill them.
Exactly!!! From the reports I read...the murder victims, all six of them and the two wounded had ONE weapon between them.
The only reason this guy stopped killing...he ran out of ammo to reload.
I understand the deer hunting was not plentiful this season due to the warm weather(many friends up north right now)...this guy decided to hunt humans instead...
What they are basically saying is that they believe the mass murderer to be credible when he makes a statement to the effect that someone called him a racist name, but they are very quick to point out this would not justify him killing six people. Hehe.
LOL! Never mind the fact that this individual is a mass murderer, and who was a dangerous time bomb and posed a grave danger to *anyone* that may have been near this individual in the past.
Yeowza!
Did I mention that he may have been called a racist name?
If they say this enough, by the time the trial gets here, the government will want to try all the victims for a hate crime.
Don't believe it either. How come he was chasing people and shooting them in the back a bunch of times. It was not self defense. This guy is a sicko and needs to die a slow death. It happened in a Blue state too.
You gotta be pretty close to a guy to surround and insult him. Taking a shot at that range and miss? C'mon , that story stinks to high heaven.
Astute observation.
I believe he thought he had killed all eight. He hit all eight in vital spots. I don't believe a single one was "slightly" wounded and he knew it. That explains why he was so calm coming out of the woods. Too many unanswered questions. He thought there would be no witnesses. Even if the individuals stupidly called the man racist slurs and used profanity (sheer stupidity when dealing with Asians), it would not begin to be enough for a self-defense plea.
Some Asian cultures have very short fuses. The Thais will kill you if you point your toes at them.
Sure does stink, sounds like a lawyer got to him and "advised" him as to what "happened". Guy is a flat out mass murderer.
Granted, game wardens don't make much money. However, the ones I know consider it their dream jobs and wouldn't trade them for the world. (Their wives think differently.) I believe we have two per county in my neck of the woods. They take their jobs seriously and are pure tickled to respond to any call.
Wow, as if we could not have guessed it would come to this.
Regardless of what the victims may or may not have said to him, I am inclined to not believe that he was shot at first or even at all. All these people with scoped deer rifles confronted a guy with an SKS that starts to shoot at them and nobody was able to put him down or even wound him? That dog don't hunt.
Comments cannot CAUSE a person to start shooting. They can inspire it, but not cause it. This misuse of the word "cause" is so disgusting.
