Sean Hannity's Ignorance and Bigotry
Men's News Daily ^ | 11/22/2004 | Chris Davis

Posted on 11/22/2004 5:34:34 PM PST by writer33

Joe Scarborough is right. Sean Hannity is an ignorant bigot, a hate-filled, war-mongering, “chicken hawk” conservative. He is a partisan hack that reads from the Republican Party platform, and lacks the intelligence to have an open mind. His everyday tirade is best known on Hannity & Colmes, but he has become more repugnant on his radio show on 77WABC in New York City.

Joe Scarborough, a former Republican congressman from Florida who now hosts MSNBC’s “Scarborough Country,” says the challenge for conservative hosts will be to prove “that we’re more than just the Pravda of the right.” He adds, “I think that’s going to be difficult for some people. I honestly don’t know what Sean Hannity is going to be able to talk about. If you’ve been reading off the Republican National Committee’s talking points like he has for the past four years, it’s going to be hard to be critical of the status quo.” Amen, brother Scarborough. It’s about time someone stood up to this fascist radio host.

It’s clear Joe Scarborough isn’t sitting idly by and accepting the conservative lines anymore. On October 20, 2004, he cut Ann Coulter’s segment, treating her like a second class citizen, and sticking it to these right wing fanatics. Chris Matthews dealt and equal assault to Michelle Malkin. They both sent a message that they are tired of their imbecilic rants. It has become completely clear that Scarborough has chosen sides in this war of ideologies, making a firm statement that he is now willing to include all peoples of the world, not just hypocritical right wing extremists—Sean Hannity, Rush Limbaugh, Ann Coulter, and other malevolent Republican representatives. Joe isn’t the only one. There are other liberals punching back, exposing just what they really think of other ideas.

In a review of Sean Hannity’s book, Deliver Us From Evil, written by Laurence M. Vance, titled “Deliver Us From Sean Hannity,” Laurence goes on to write, “Hannity is one of the most militant warmongers in the public spotlight. Not only was he overwhelmingly in favor of the war in Afghanistan, not only is he supportive of the current war in Iraq, not only does he encourage war against terrorism—he ends the book with a virtual declaration of war against China, Iran, Syria, and North Korea. Hannity is a master apologist for the Republican Party. He continually rails against “left wing elites…” How dare he assault liberalism with such impunity? Does he not know that the elitism of the Democratic Party is here to save America from itself? Does he not understand that Americans are far too ignorant to take care of themselves? That’s why Media Matters for America is here to protect the women and minority victims from these right wing propaganda machines.

Robert Gelfand, a correspondent for the American Reporter, writes an article, “A Site That Does Some Heavy Lifting,” on which he details how Media Matters for America wages their battle against talk show hosts Sean Hannity and Rush Limbaugh. In the article, Gelfand states, “It’s not enough to pull out a few angrily worded remarks and flog them ad nauseum—this is, after all, how Limbaugh and Hannity et al make a living—it’s important to catalogue the entirety of the offense thoroughly and carefully, so there can be no doubt the case that is being made.” Media Matters for America is another reason why we’re starting to dispel the radical, right wing agenda. Liberals are here to stay and fight till the war is won. They’re showing their true colors in that limited sea of blue.

Blue America can see it plain as day. On November 2, 2004, they executed with righteous indignation, electing an illegitimate president for the second time and sending this country spiraling toward the destruction of all mankind. We’ve got to wake up America. We’ve got to make them see the error of their ways. Americans must see through men like Sean Hannity, Rush Limbaugh, Mark Belling, Michael Medved, and Walter Williams—another man that has sold out his brotherhood and his soul. We’ve got to stand up to these conservative writers—Ann Coulter, Michelle Malkin, and Laura Ingraham—and let them know just where we want the country to go.

After all, we are the party of inclusion. We are the party of compassion, not George W. Bush, a man that titles himself a “compassionate conservative.” We are the party that classifies all people into groups. We’re the people that understand minorities need a helping hand, knowing they couldn’t possibly make it in America on their own. We’re the kind of Americans that believe women have been exploited, and that women like Laura Schlessinger are disgusting for telling them to stay home and raise children. How dare she insult the women of America? How dare she claim they bond with their children, and become a wonderful mother, wife, and lover?

We believe that a woman’s right to choose is what matters most. We believe a fetus is just tissue. We are the party that claims to be for the working man while raising their taxes. We are the people that advocates for the poor, offering them money instead of solutions, and cleansing our guilty consciences when we go home to our mansions on Nantucket, Beacon Hill, and Hollywood. We are the men and women that offer you an unemployment check rather than offering a job. We believe in keeping America divided, but lecture conservatives on unity. Our finest men and women are CEO’s, editors, and reporters at the New York Times, Simon & Schuster, Random House, and Disney. Our press operates under the First Amendment, promotes the fondest of our ideals, and claims to be objective. Our best and brightest are Dan Rather, Tom Brokaw, and Peter Jennings. Conservatives need not apply. We hate the New Media and Free Republic most of all.

We must label men like Sean Hannity and Rush Limbaugh as ignorant bigots, because they represent the majority belief in America. We know they threaten our socialistic way of life, our blue states, and our united goal in one, powerful controlling and meddling federal government. We must cast aspersions at women like Ann Coulter, labeling them as angry white women, knowing we have become the party of hate, lies and deception. We are represented by Teresa Heinz Kerry, Barbara Streisand, Whoopi Goldberg, and Howard Dean.

Even though Sean Hannity grew up in Franklin Square, Long Island—working in construction and as a contractor—we must paint him as an elitist, rich snob. Even though Sean wrote two books, we must portray him as a lying, illiterate boob. And even though the Sean Hannity Show is broadcast on nearly 400 stations we must make Americans think he’s a loud mouthed, uneducated, intolerant conservative. We will say whatever it takes to keep men and women, blacks and whites, Protestants and Catholics, homosexuals and heterosexuals, and Republicans and Democrats, divided at all costs—our power, our party, and our existence is contingent upon it.

We claim to love America, but hate it when the economy soars and our U.S. Armed Forces prevail in battle. We support our troops, but find fault in them at every turn, and vote against funding them in war time. We have lost our power in the U.S. House of Representatives, The U.S. Senate, and the U.S. Presidency. We are a National Party No More, as that bigoted Senator Zel Miller indicated in his book. We are now threatened by losing our stranglehold on the U.S. Supreme Court. We have had an iron grip on education for forty years, the grip that is slowly slipping on colleges and universities everywhere, as these nefarious conservative organizations continue to grow.

We are struggling for an identity we lost on November 2, 2004, and will do anything to get it back. We championed our greatest President, Bill Clinton, and a fine example of our value system, while opening his new museum. We know we’ll have to try and oust God-loving conservatives in 2006, repeating God as many times as it takes to get elected. We believe we’re righteous, indignant, and have a mission to change the world through peace, tolerance, and political correctness.

We hate President George W. Bush with an unmatched visceral anger. We will do our best to impeach him, no matter what the cost. The very thought of compassionate conservatives makes us nauseous. Never forget that we love you, want to protect you, and keep your children from harm by micromanaging every aspect of your life. We will say whatever it takes to discredit Rush Limbaugh and Sean Hannity. We have no other options left, and in the greatest of our ideals, we are imploding.

That’s why Sean Hannity is an ignorant bigot.

LOL figured it had to be satire. No Liberal, talk show host or otherwise would admit to all that. True as it is!

I love Sean, Rush, Michael, Ann, Michelle, and Dr. Laura LOL

Can't afford Rush 24/7 but I do listen every day, and if I miss it I catch what I can on the website.

Thanks much. You really had me going at the beginning - partly because I don't think that Sean comes close to standing up to Rush, and because I lost a lot respect for Sean during the Trent Lott affair. At that time, when Rush was basically cutting Lott loose after his words at Strom Thurman's (sp.) 100th birthday party, Sean was still defending Lott (by bringing up Robert Byrd's past, and other examples). I never liked Lott to begin with (Frist is much, much, better), and I agreed with Rush that if Lott is going to say something to the effect that segregation should have been kept in force, then Lott had to go - regardless of the histories of any Democrats.

But, overall, I still like Sean - it's just that he's not quite up to Rush's level.

In any case, your posting is excellent.

I know this article is going to tick some people off, but guess what? There is an element of truth here.
Hannity does just read the party platform and Ann Coulter doesn't represent my type of conservatism (i.e.- I don't think liberals are to blame for every problem in the last 50 years). However, having said that, I am NO John McCain. I just think conservatism would be better served by reaching out more to the compassionate side and ditching the "all liberals are traitors" side.

"I just think conservatism would be better served by reaching out more to the compassionate side..."

Ideally, I think that a lot of us would agree that reaching out to the middle is the right thing to do at times. But the problem is that every time us conservatives do it, we just get blasted by the Dems. We don't get thanked. We don't get appreciated. We don't get defended. We get blasted.

Example: Bush-41 and Nixon are the only 2 presidents that had anything to do with cleaning up the air coming out of automobile tail pipes. Nixon signed the original 1970 Clean Air Act, which reduced pollution 90% in new cars, in just over 10 years. Not a bad accomplishment. Bush-41 signed a bill that significantly tightened standards even further (in 1990). Carter and Clinton never lifted a finger. The same for the Clean Water Act.

Here's my point. Did you know about this? Has the MSM said anything about this? Has the Sierra Club or the National Resources Defense Council thanked these men? Answer: No (probably), and no and no. All we ever hear is how us Republicans want to destroy the environment. This kind of thank you has happened over and over again on virtually every issue we try to reach out on. We're SICK of it.

It gets us nowhere trying to get along - that's why people like Sean and Ann have had it with this bunch and refuse to respect them as humans. We did try your approach, and it got us nowhere.

Amen. I couldn't agree more.
What does the 10 year Republican Congress have to show for itself? Not much.
However, I still don't like Ann Coulter. And I still say that Hannity just repeats the party line. I mean come on...even you would admit that Hannity is NO Limbaugh. And Ann Coulter is no Bush.

He did the theme song to Greatest American Hero.

I liked that show. Great song, too.
