Both before and after her elevation to secretary of state, Condoleezza Rice has been the target of a series of racist caricatures by liberal cartoonists. Rush Limbaugh points out three: a Doonesbury strip by Garry Trudeau that refers to her as "Brown Sugar," a Jeff Danziger cartoon that portrays her as Prissy from "Gone With the Wind" (also the topic of a Wall Street Journal editorial last month) and, most recently, a Tuesday political cartoon from Pat Oliphant that depicts the secretary-designate as a parrot with enormous lips. (This seems to be a running feature; yesterday's Oliphant cartoon does it also, this time with President Bush as a pirate.) Blogger Winfield Myers catalogues other examples.
Limbaugh is incensed by these displays of bigotry and hypocrisy ......
It is grotesque. It is insulting. It is vile. It is angry. It is childish, and it is typical I think of what the left has become. They claim to be holy [sic] than thou. They claim to be above all of us when it comes to understanding the downtrodden and minorities. They claim to be the only ones that have the ability to have the compassion and understanding, and yet they get away with racism. They get away with bigotry. They get away with sexism, and they get away with homophobia--and in the case of Condoleezza Rice, they get away with an attempted character destruction of a truly brilliant and accomplished woman who came from nothing to become the first black female secretary of state.

That's not hyberbole, it really IS criminal. People really suffer and die because of just the type of racism evidenced by the left.
Relativism never made anything right. Je$$e DOES talk like that, when he's not doing the bad Martin Luthor King impression. I've heard him speak normally, and know both are acts. What is your point?

Why do you think the “politics of destruction” have already started? Somebody apparently already thinks she’s a threat…and they want to start tearing her down before she gains too much credibility.
Just my opinion.
Imagine the uproar if a cartoon was made of Barack Obama.

Lets make one of Barack Obama and post it side by side with one of the depictions of sweet Condi. See who has the stones to throw then. My Gawd I wish we could out these people for who they really are. Allyphaunt really needs to resign or be fired over this. He thinks he's untouchable.

What frightens liberals to death is that idea that "minorities" and other so-called oppressed Americans don't need them to achieve to success. That notion strikes at the heart of the narcissistic liberal mind-set that massive government re:liberals are needed to solve each and every problem any American might have. The suggestion that maybe the great majority of Americans are quite capable of achieving success without liberals is anathema to the leftists. Condi Rice is the kind of "minority" that libs hate the most. She would be a tremendous success anywhere and has achieved most of her success by herself and with the help and inspiration from her parents. Those sorts of minorites must be disparaged and brought down by the libs.
Let's not make one because we don't stoop to the level of liberals. And although he's a liberal, Obama is a likeable and outgoing person.
As Condi grows in stature and fame, Americans will see just what this woman is made of. Comparisons will be made to Mrs. Thatcher; and this will trouble Hillary, who is anxious to sieze the mantle of the Iron Lady.
Unfortunately for Hillary, she is about to find that that mantle has been siezed by someone far more formidable. Hillary understands this, and wants to do anything possible to keep Condi from threatening her.
