Good Morning Everybody. > > The following is an email from my son regarding the NBC report (with > embedded reporter Kevin Sites), concerning the Marine who is being > investigated for "murdering" the insurgent in Fallaja. I will be sending his > mail to every news program's email I can find. I find it sickening that this > Kevin Sites is even allowed to be embedded with our Marines, as this isn't > the first report I've heard from him that took on a decidely unfriendly > tone. My son also gave me permission to release it to anyone that wants to > pass it on, as long as it remains unedited. > > > > ----------------------------------------------------------------------- > > > > > This is one story of many that people normally don't hear, and one that > everyone does. > > This is just one most don't hear: > A young Marine and his cover man cautiously enter a room just recently > filled with insurgents armed with Ak-47's and RPG's. There are three dead, > another wailing in pain. The insurgent can be heard saying, "Mister, > mister! Diktoor, diktoor(doctor)!" He is badly wounded, lying in a pool of > his own blood. The Marine and his cover man slowly walk toward the injured > man, scanning to make sure no enemies come from behind. In a split > second, the pressure in the room greatly exceeds that of the outside, and > the concussion seems to be felt before the blast is heard. Marines outside > rush to the room, and look in horror as the dust gradually settles. The > result is a room filled with the barely recognizable remains of the > deceased, caused by an insurgent setting off several pounds of explosives. > The Marines' remains are gathered by teary eyed > comrades, brothers in arms, and shipped home in a box. The families can only > mourn over a casket and a picture of their loved one, a life cut short by > someone who hid behind a white flag. But no one hears these stories, except > those who have lived to carry remains of a friend, and the families who > loved the dead. No one hears this, so no one cares. > > This is the story everyone hears: > > A young Marine and his fire team cautiously enter a room just recently > filled with insurgents armed with AK-47's and RPG's. A reporter and his camera survey the wreckage inside, and in the > background can be heard the voice of a Marine, "He's moving, he's moving!" > The pop of a rifle is heard, and the insurgent against the wall is now dead. > > Minutes, hours later, the scene is aired on national television, and the > Marine is being held for commiting a war crime. No sweat.
If you copy and paste those into a Word or WordPerfect or whatever (I use StarOffice), you can use the "find and replace" feature to find all the >'s and replace them with nothing. It'll magically make 'em go away :)
If you get any more emails you can share publicly, please ping me.
My assesment is that this was a righteous shoot. Sorry if showing it disturbs you. This ain't Nintendo, sonny boy.
Then talk about the reporter just doing his job.
He was. SFW?
He'll also ask you to cite case law for this and that.
Only if people want to charge him with treason.
Imo, Sites is a Judas to those Marines who befriended him and to the country in which he was raised.
This was a righteous shooting. Why is the guy who videotapes it a "Judas?"
I want the jihadis to see what jihad gets them.
I can't even begin to describe my feelings when I hear of this young man is being considered war crime material.
My loyalties are with this Marine. Period, the end.
If REAL war crimes are ever committed by American troops, they should be prosecuted. This situation is an outrage.
It seems that there are no depths low enough for the Matrix(That's my word for the MSM.) to crawl through. They are beneath my contempt.
Arioch7 out.
See post #20 for formatted version...
Thats the way I feel too.
Bump.
Isn't that silly? That's just a total lack of common sense. I think a grade schooler could figure that out. Some things are just not for public consumption, and especially not by a media that will show only acts of killing or harm done by our troops. I haven't seen them yet show the schools in Iraq, and the grateful Iraqis and the progress made. Just panties on heads and now a Marine in the act of killing.
What's next, showing the shoveling of hundreds of terrorists bodies in a pit to be buried, or when the bodies have to be burned because they're rotting. Oh, yeah, that would be a real smart move, after all that's a "righteous act" also.
US Military Bump.
God Bless You for your service to our country.
Bump!! I also think the Marine acted in a proper way in the way the enemy has repeatedly done over and oer!!
We've got your back's marines. We will win the Propoganda War at home.
If you can't stand to look at the product of the policy you support, turn off the damn TV and go hide in a closet or something, and leave the business of supporting this war to those of us who have the spine to do so.
The rules of engagement won't take into consideration the fact that he was recently wounded, his buddies were recently killed by insurgents playing dead, that the enemy was booby trapping bodies, or that they were using illegal 'fake surrender' tactics. The law won't care.
According to the cold letter of the law, servicemembers in Iraq are not authorized to shoot wounded, unarmed opponents who are playing dead or otherwise not clearly engaged in hostile activity, which is exactly what happened.
Worrying about the MSM spin is beside the point; this Marine's biggest problem right now is the U.S. military is likely about to make a grim example out of him.
Shannon, thank you. Hadn't seen your post formatting this message - you've provided a very valuable service.
I want EVERY would-be jihadi to see this tape.
They might figure out that dyin' is a lousy way to make a livin'.
Kevin sites' site seems to be unobtainable right now.
