No sweat.
If you copy and paste those into a Word or WordPerfect or whatever (I use StarOffice), you can use the "find and replace" feature to find all the >'s and replace them with nothing. It'll magically make 'em go away :)
If you get any more emails you can share publicly, please ping me.

Wait for awhile and Poohbah will show up with his "he has nothing to worry about if it was a righteous shoot."My assesment is that this was a righteous shoot. Sorry if showing it disturbs you. This ain't Nintendo, sonny boy.
Then talk about the reporter just doing his job.
He was. SFW?
He'll also ask you to cite case law for this and that.
Only if people want to charge him with treason.
Imo, Sites is a Judas to those Marines who befriended him and to the country in which he was raised.
This was a righteous shooting. Why is the guy who videotapes it a "Judas?"
I want the jihadis to see what jihad gets them.

dfu has a
thread going to get Freepers to sign on and show support for this Marine. dfu says he'll make sure that it gets printed out and to the Marine's family and ultimately to him. Check it out.

Get the embedded reporters out of combat zones now.
I can't even begin to describe my feelings when I hear of this young man is being considered war crime material.
My loyalties are with this Marine. Period, the end.
If REAL war crimes are ever committed by American troops, they should be prosecuted. This situation is an outrage.
It seems that there are no depths low enough for the Matrix(That's my word for the MSM.) to crawl through. They are beneath my contempt.
Arioch7 out.

I am not American,I am Canadian, and every day I thank God for the brave American soldiers that keep me and my family safe. I hope enough public outcry will be heard so that the witch hunt is called off on this marine, and also that he and his family feel the overwhelming support of right thinking and grateful people everywhere

He'll also ask you to cite case law for this and that. Isn't that silly? That's just a total lack of common sense. I think a grade schooler could figure that out. Some things are just not for public consumption, and especially not by a media that will show only acts of killing or harm done by our troops. I haven't seen them yet show the schools in Iraq, and the grateful Iraqis and the progress made. Just panties on heads and now a Marine in the act of killing.
What's next, showing the shoveling of hundreds of terrorists bodies in a pit to be buried, or when the bodies have to be burned because they're rotting. Oh, yeah, that would be a real smart move, after all that's a "righteous act" also.

While the rules of war at the Geneva convention should
protect the other marine this is a very powerful post and
should be seen by all. It takes you there where the war is
and gives the reader a birds eye view. Anyone who cannot
figure out what is going on over there at this point is
stupid or does not really want to know. Great post.

I should have prefaced by sharing how I got this e-mail. I received it from a like-minded individual (I removed the names and addresses from the transmission because I didn't know if all of them would want there addresses posted) who wanted me to get it out to as many people as I knew as he was doing the same.
Everyone I know is foaming at the mouth about this whole incident and I know if we keep this unedited story to the forefront, we can save this young devil dog. God Bless the Free Republic.

Don't worry about your formatting. This is important enough that I've copied and pasted it into a Word document, and I will format as required, and forward to everyone I can think of.
God Bless You for your service to our country.

Bump!! I also think the Marine acted in a proper way in the way the enemy has repeatedly done over and oer!!

If you can't stand to look at the product of the policy you support, turn off the damn TV and go hide in a closet or something, and leave the business of supporting this war to those of us who have the spine to do so.

Unfortunately, this isn't about common sense, or what popular opinion thinks. It's about the rules of engagement. This Marine was filmed engaging a wounded, unarmed man with lethal force, and is pretty much certain to be prosecuted.
The rules of engagement won't take into consideration the fact that he was recently wounded, his buddies were recently killed by insurgents playing dead, that the enemy was booby trapping bodies, or that they were using illegal 'fake surrender' tactics. The law won't care.
According to the cold letter of the law, servicemembers in Iraq are not authorized to shoot wounded, unarmed opponents who are playing dead or otherwise not clearly engaged in hostile activity, which is exactly what happened.
Worrying about the MSM spin is beside the point; this Marine's biggest problem right now is the U.S. military is likely about to make a grim example out of him.
