I am being sued for something that happened at the December 2000 Freep of Joe Lieberman.
JimRob has allowed me to hold an internet fundraiser to help defray the costs of my lawyers fees.
I am broke and thousands of dollars in debt, and depending on how much I can collect here, I amnot sure if I can continue or work to sign a mutual release if offered.
Right now, we have ended the discovery phase, and are awaiting the deposition of the man who accused me of assaulting him that day.
That charge is a lie.
The following story below is my short account of what happened that day.
btt
Here's a question for you....
Do you really have a racist activist ping??
This is something that drives me close to insanity, and I would appreciate if you could add me to this ping list (if you really have a racist activist ping)?
Thank you
freep me an email so I can paypal ya. Or let me know if you setup a paypal account.
Blessings from Jerusalem!
That's what I was waiting for- freepers who names I respect giving direct testimony.
nutmeg, RonDog- thanks.
Race? It won't be much, but I'll send what I can-- my 2 cents?
I've been sued more time than I can count- it's part of the price you pay ( unseen by the public ) when you run businesses.
Get the meanest, toughest attorney you can find- usually the most successful divorce lawyer in town. I'm not kidding.
This is nothing more than legal extortion. These frivolous lawsuits are doing a great deal of damage, dirctly as well as indirectly in devious ways. They damage our the system, destroy sense of resonsibility for our own acts, inhibit us from helping others or getting involved, etc. ACLU uses this technique all the time in its fight to destroy religion.
Don't cases such as this usually end up on Judge Judy?
Bump! Best of luck to you.
Mt 5:10 Blessed are they which are persecuted for righteousness' sake: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. 11 Blessed are ye, when men shall revile you, and persecute you, and shall say all manner of evil against you falsely, for my sake. 12 Rejoice, and be exceeding glad: for great is your reward in heaven: for so persecuted they the prophets which were before you.
"Meek, Ping our Texans, we need some help here."
Tis done.

Thanks for pinging me on this.
With the police as witnesses there should be no problem with having the lawsuit tossed but even with that it will cost a lot of money. I hope a counter suit is in the works.
I cant do anything now Im one of those paycheck to paycheck types but bump it back on the 1st.
BTT!!!!!
Gift Giving
"Tax Tip 2004-38, Feb. 25, 2004
If you gave any one person gifts valued at more than $11,000 in 2003, it is necessary to report the total gift to the Internal Revenue Service. You may even have to pay tax on the gift.
The person who received your gift does not have to report the gift to the IRS or pay either gift or income tax on its value.
You make a gift when you give property (including money), or the use or income from property, without expecting to receive something of equal value in return. If you sell something at less than its value or make an interest-free or reduced-interest loan, you may be making a gift."
As long as no one person gives more than $11,000. no federal tax is due. It does not even need to be reported. And if someone gives more than $11,000. it's the "giver" who owes a gift tax.
I would check the state law there, but I don't believe you will owe any tax on this money.

January 1996:
Kimber is convicted of stealing an elderly woman's funeral money while he was managing a funeral home. DeStefano, who appears as a character witness at trial, arranges for Kimber to continue receiving city money for the Division Street project. Kimber resigns as president of the not-for-profit corporation, but becomes a "consultant."
July 1996
The Rev. Boise Kimber has, for the second time, quit his post with a Newhallville development corporation amid scandal.
Kimber's ally John DeStefano set him up at the Hazel Street Development Corp. a few years back in order to steer him hundreds of thousands of federal dollars to build new houses. DeStefano gave Kimber a lot full of decrepit houses that, under the policy of DeStefano's Livable City Initiative, should have normally been cleared to make room for a park or community center or parking lot.
Kimber had to quit that post two years ago, after a court found him guilty of stealing an elderly woman's funeral money. (DeStefano tried to avert the verdict by testifying on behalf of Kimber's character.) To help the mayor save face, Kimber resigned his post as Hazel Street's president.
But the pair worked out a sly deal. Kimber became a consultant to the Hazel Street group -- while his brother-in-law nominally presided over the group. Kimber continued to collect tens of thousands of dollars a year (up to nearly $52,000 a year by this spring) for barely documented work.
Now the FBI is looking into Kimber's work as part of its investigation of DeStefano administration corruption.
Kimber was finally prevailed upon to resign late last week, as his prefab homes started going up on the lot. Will he really be gone this time?
Can you not counter-sue as well; pro-bono perhaps; for this man making false accusations and for character assasination?
Could you call, not just the ACLU; but Bob Barr at the ACLU? This Demrat was interfering with 'free speech' and he is guilty of intimidation AND trespassing!
That said. . along with many other Freepers; I would like to help with a donation; the Pay Pal page is not accessible - at least I am having a problem accessing (?) will conintue to try. ..but will send check if this does not work for me.
In the meantime. . .Good Luck RB. . and .may Justice prevail here.
