That's good work that you've done. you've got to show me or e-mail me about what you did to format it so well.
I love FR and all the pajamahadim like yourself that gives me an outlet. Thanx again.
Sounds reasonable. Personally I draw the line pretty far out, don't be hurting some one else, don't make me finance it and don't say that I must give my stamp of approval to it.
The few hard lines I draw fall into those areas for the most part. I know the words have been perverted but I actually do believe in tolerance and diversity in their original meanings. But I expect tolerance for my diversity. And I am not getting it.
In fact, in seeing what little television I watch today, I'd say we are getting sicker. Same with music, especially rap. Just my observations, not chiseled in stone.
* He says what he means.
* He means what he says.
* He tries to do it.
You may be correct, but I'm having doubts. Does a true Right-to-Lifer intercede in a primary on the side of the baby killer and save his campaign? Does a true fiscal conservative veto absolutely no ridiculous spending bills--or put up a "no-child-left-behind" crap? Does a real believer in national sovereignty allow (and even bless) hordes of illegals entering the U.S.?
Sure, some things he means and stands behind. Some of them he may actually believe, instead of responding to political expedience. It's easy to be for a popular marriage amendment when it has absolutely no chance of passing. It's easy to play both sides on a witless CFR bill. I just no longer have much faith in your three statements.
Actually your analogy of lightning rod was a good one. A lightning rod protects the house from the damage that lightning might cause if the house were hit without one. It safely channels the effect of the lightning to the ground. Bush has done this with the verbal and libelous lightning hurled at him, and thus shielded the house (nation) from its effects, which would have been troubling had he launched similar vituperative attacks in response.
"Now, the true face of liberalism is being exposed. Instead of accepting the loss and looking ahead to the next election, liberals have launched into a psychotic paroxysm of rage and insults unseen in American politics since the aftermath of the Civil War." Putting the focus upon the pre-civil war ravings of the slavers might be more to the point. And the irrationality of the left's outbursts attests their bitterness at being exposed for their extremes. How can a political party defend partial birth serial killing of alive, preborn children? Amazing stuff that!
Well and truly said. May I offer a heartfelt DITTO ?
Bump. :)
Gratefully accepted- my regards to you, Marvin.
Ah, excuse me, even if he had won, he wouldn't be President today. Bush's 1st term isn't up yet.
Likely you've got something there. In any case, that "right track/wrong track" question strikes me as the silliest I've ever heard. There are too many "tracks" going on at once, with too much divergence by state or city. Not to mention the question of who's more likely to slow down or turn around the "wrong track" areas and encourage the "right track" ones. The range of possibilities in how people will understand the question make any total of the answers meaningless.
Because the MSM, the propaganda wing of the Democratic party, no longer holds the monopoly!
Don't forget ol' Hollyweird ... you're going to see a more intense attack against the "moral family" with heavy propaganda on the TV shows, such as Law & Order showing some half-crazed right-winger going out on some kind of shooting spree because someone is wearing a turban; some "normal" family being prejudiced against a two-daddy or two-mommy family only to be shown to be the raging bigots they "really" are; an increase of shows depicting perverted priests molesting little boys or involved with porn in some way; you'll see more attacks against the Bible believers and Christians, in general; you'll see attacks on the denizens in the Red States that will make the typical depiction of the crazed, drugged-out, murderous and anti-social Viet Nam vet of the 70s seem like a Sunday School lesson.
Unless I'm sorely mistaken, the entertainment community is going to unleash a plethora of intolerence and hate that we haven't even imagined.
'Course, I'm not a prophet ... just putting 2 and 2 together, and hoping to come out in the realm of 4, of what I've seen in the past from those "entertainment" freaks and how they love to slam anything that concerns the moral values of the Red States.
Yep!
I was going to say that we have 90% of the ingenuity, 90% of the intelligence, 90% of the firearms, and all the will. They have a bought mainstream media and all the adrenalin that 5 minutes of uncontrolled anger can muster up.
This is their greatest weakness, the Marxist faith in the "iron laws of history". The armies of socialism only march in one direction.
From 1932-1978, US election results and this false fixed belief moved in tandem.
Since 1980, and especially since 1994, things haven't been so good.
This has caused all sorts of other, more absurd Marxist "theories" like false consciousness and economic determinism to bubble to the surface.
The fact is, they are losing this country after having it in their reach, and they are suffering from severe cognitive dissonance as a result.
After all, their victory is guaranteed by the "iron laws of history".
Marx was fixated on the economy and he forgot about the biology. Natural selection eliminates leftists (who abort their own children and indulge in the sexual orientations) very quickly. Each generation half of them dies out.
Right ~ we have to eradicate the lunatic left!
Must see pic in #41.
