I look forward to any debate. I understand that many may be suspicious of my motives and dismiss me as a troll, that's to be expected. In my view, political discourse should be valued in any democracy. There will be winners and losers, but frank discussions and the difference of opinion is what makes our country so great. Nobody gets thrown in prison or executed based on their political beliefs! (and yes, those on the dem side that made Hitler references are idiots and it made me wince).

Great news about our V.P. I am happy to see his heart is just fine. My mom has heart disease so I know how difficult it is when you worry over every cold or sniffle.

It will be interesting to see the candidates that both parties come up with..

I DO WISH HOWEVER WE WOULD GET JUST A ITSY BITSY break.. We all are exhausted from the past 6 months of intense campaigning.

I felt it impt to help with the poll challenging.. We just wanted a fair playing field...for both sides. No desire to disenfranchise anyone who was ligit.

I do know the poll workers were really on their toes. Really did a good job. I cant help but feel our presence discourage any possible foul play. I was in a very tough union area. This was one area that had strong info on potential problems. The voters looked at both the attorney & me with suspicion (don't think they knew which was which or even if they knew there was one from each party.) .. They had heard however that the watchers were there to stir up problems. Unfortunate info /scare tactics.

I can tell you I was shaking like a leave and only picked at my dinner have calmed down now certainly since seeing him on the BBC coming out of hospital he looked OK to me.

Lets hope this is last we hear of this scare.

I must admit I was very surprised he went on that shoot just after that grueling campaign. I also think of the famous 39 hour 10,000 mile round trip including Hawaii he looked OK after it Lynne looked more exhausted but one wonders if it left him a bit open and venerable to this cold infection whatever it is. Lets hope he does really rest and watch his diet over the next few days. Lets hope he treats this as a warning to slow down for a bit before he launches into the next 4 years which I am certain he and Lynne want so he just needs to take care for little while.

I am fascinated with your government. I watch C-span quite frequently and I am transfixed at how the different parties pose their inquiries/questions before Prime Minister Blair. I try to imagine the Senate/House in the United States peppering our President with questions and how it would unfold. What with all the cheering and booing at times, it is very interesting. I admire Prime Minister Blair very much, by the way.

They are both "Good Democrats" and they may help you understand what has happened to your party.....My best friend is also in your position (as are several neighbors and family members).
