"We're worried that in four years we're going to be at war with five countries and we're going to have no trees," senior Cameron Ely-Murdock said. That worries me every day.
Folks that go out and kill trees for the war effort are just plain mean.
I wish more high school students with hyphenated names would gift us with such wisdom.

Unfortunately, how wrong you are.
It had been 16 years since a dem was in office...
But the Dems pulled off a good campaign, reluctantly, I admit...and took over the House and Senate in Denver, including the District 50 seat.
Sickening.

Colorado Springs is a beautiful place (I've lived there 4 months now) that is extremely conservative. Extremely, with a few opposing strongholds like most cities.

"We're worried that in four years we're going to be at war with five countries and we're going to have no trees," senior Cameron Ely-Murdock said. Senior Cameron Ely-Murdock should be more concerned that in four years both his (her?) brain cells might no longer accidentally knock together to allow cogent thought.

we should have the teachers fired and banned from teaching. Then they could name their group "the Talibanned".

My son-in-law is Air Force stationed in Colorado. He said when they have to go to a site around Boulder, they don't wear their uniforms, because Boulder is so ANTI military! That place must be full of idiots.
So this story rings true to me. I wouldn't put anything past the people in Boulder.

I grew up in Boulder. Mom & Dad, aunts and uncles all graduated from BHS, under the shadow of the Mini & Jake statue. They've since all left Boulder, moved out with the normal folks east of Longmont in Weld County. I've always said the amount of socialism/liberalism in any community is directly proportional to the amount of official signage on display. During my last visit, I officially knew that my hometown had been over-run with socialists after driving to the top of Flagstaff Mountain, past all the no-parking signs and being instructed to pay $2.00 to park in the designated parking spaces. Promptly pulled over, found a ponderosa pine to water, "forgot" to pay my $2.00, and drove back to Baseline Road shaking my head in disgust.

The song may even be pro-Bush (what's the chance?, I know, slim)
The Secret Service isn't interested in a high school talent show routine with a couple of students and teachers.....

The students, who brought sleeping bags and food, said they were not protesting Bush's re-election but were worried about the national debt...Yeah, I know when I was a teenager I couldn't sleep at nights worrying about the national debt.
