For the freedom you enjoyed yesterday
Thank the Veterans who served in the United States Armed Forces.

Veteran's Day

National Anthem

Grand Old Flag

On this day we Thank You Vets
for standing on the side of right.
For standing in the muddy trench
before the enemy of freedom.
For marching on the side of justice
to keep a nation free,
For standing in the line of fire,
to hold off oppression
to hold a child not yours,
to build a school for those who have none
and to give a smile to anyone who needs one.
We Thank You Vets, for all you've done.

Soldiers from 1st Platoon, Apache Troop, 2nd Battalion, 5th Cavalry Regiment, 2nd Brigade Combat Team, 1st Cavalry Division move tactically through a shopping area as they enter and clear an objective during Operation Al Fajr (New Dawn) November 9, 2004 in Falluja, Iraq.

The new Mall at Fallujah is almost ready to open following a few last minute renovations.

US Marines sneak into a breach in a wall in the restive Sunni Muslim city of Fallujah. US marines backed by Iraqi troops occupied nearly three-quarters of Fallujah.

The new "hole in the wall Canteen" in Fallujah is a bit awkward when getting service, but the cheeseburgers served there are said to be out of this world.

An Iraqi man looks over damage inside his home early Thursday Nov. 11 2004 in Baghdad, Iraq, following a car bomb attack Wednesday night.

There are plenty of good hotel rooms in Baghdad, but the house cleaning services are not what would be considered to be in the 5 star category.

US soldiers take position on the outskirts of Fallujah. US troops have found three Iraqi hostages in the basement of houses in Fallujah.

It has been a lot easier to find the basements now that many of the insurgent's houses have been surgically  redesigned the military way.

US Marines of the fifth division get ready for the day after staying overnight in a house close to the center of Fallujah, Iraq, Thursday, Nov. 11, 2004.

A recent shortage of Brasso has a few Marines concerned because the brass on their uniforms has a sort of tarnished look about it.

US Marines of the fifth division arrest Iraqi men in the center of Fallujah, Iraq, Thursday, Nov. 11, 2004.

Some Marines have recently taken an interest in stocks and bonds .

Just got off the phone with the vet...

Trixie was scheduled to go in for surgery this morning at 10:30 our time. I was told to call at 11:30 to check on how it went.

Doc says he set the leg and put a splint on. He did NOT do surgery and does not believe it will be necessary to do surgery after all. I have an appointment to talk with the vet about her care in 2 1/2 hours. She will be staying at the office...sedated for another day.

PTL...all your prayers helped!! Thank you!!

Good afternoon Everyone. Hello to our AWESOME military, our allies, and their families.

Sorry I am so late, but I was without internet service this morning. I was so stressed that I couldn't be here, I went and had a massage while they fixed it. But, alas, I am here and ready to say thank you to our Veterans. Here I go..................

I salute you all! God Bless!

And, welcome to all visitors.

Once again, Radix, fantastic pictures of our guys at work.

US soldiers take position on the outskirts of Fallujah. US troops have found three Iraqi hostages in the basement of houses in Fallujah.

It has been a lot easier to find the basements now that many of the insurgent's houses have been surgically redesigned the military way.

Congratulations for the wonderful job our soldiers are doing.

Forive me if this has already been posted:

DEPARTMENT OF THE ARMY
WASHINGTON, D.C.

VETERANS DAY MESSAGE TO SOLDIERS

During this Veterans Day, we pause to remember the sacrifices our Soldiers, Sailors, Airmen, Marines, and Coast Guardsmen have made in serving our Nation where and when they were needed. From one generation to the next, young men and women have willingly joined the ranks of America's Armed Forces. Aware of their obligations as citizens of the greatest Nation on earth, they answered its call; they served the United States with courage and commitment.

For more than two centuries, American Soldiers have preserved the liberty our forefathers earned by their willingness to fight for it, whatever the cost. Our Army has a long and proud history, filled with tradition and pivotal moments in service to our Nation. From the battlefields of Lexington and Bunker Hill, to Normandy and Manila and beyond, American Soldiers have stood firm against those who would deny basic human dignity to others.

We honor each of you, America’s veterans, who served so faithfully and honorably. Through your sacrifices you have secured for millions of others the blessings of freedom, democracy, and the unmatched opportunity that we enjoy in the United States today.

May each of you have a safe Veterans Day. God bless each of you and your families, God bless our Army, and God bless the United States of America.

I was without internet service this morning.

((HUGS))It happens to the best of us. It's happened to me several times since I got the computer in 2000. I know what it's like.

How's it going, Beach?
