Tuesday, November 11, Suha Arafat's French lawyers and former Palestinian prime minister Mahmoud Abbas struck a deal.
The settlement allowed a funeral to be arranged on 'Orphans Friday' of Ramadan, November 12--unless a new crisis pops up. Our sources have seen some of the principal terms of the Palestinian accord with Suha Arafat.
The widow will attend the funeral. Abu Mazen insisted on her following the Palestinian leaders bier for sake of appearances.
Last July, Yassir Arafat sent his wife $11 million to cover her 'living expenses' and those of her daughter for six months-$1.8 million per month. The new accord guarantees her the same allowance from the Palestinian Authority as a regular annual remittance, $22 million per annum for the rest of her life.
Abu Mazen and Abu Ala signed on the dotted line, although they have no notion how the peniless Palestinian Authority faced with people in dire poverty can possibly raise that kind of money. (without Arafat's rumoured 9 Billion in embezzled Swiss bank account numbers, supposedly known only to him)
Debkafile's global security sources offer an exclusive peek at Suha Arafat's lifestyle in the French capital. She owns a tony villa on one of the most elegantly posh streets in the world, Rue Fatborg St. Honore, while also maintaining a lavish private suite at the Hotel De Bristol, which claims to outclass the Paris Ritz, the Four Seasons and even the George V Hotel.
The upkeep of this Bristol suite she maintains for 'business' was included in her widows 'pension' from the PA.

Gee, I'll sleep with the creep for that>
That monthly income only lasts as long as those who made the promise aren't in a smoking hole.
This is shaping up to be an expensive funeral public relations wise..
For that, she can kiss me on the lips and call me "HoneyBunch."
Her life will be 2 months longer tops!
1.8 mil/month for life... So, how much longer is she going to be alive?
The stupid Moos no doubt would see this as appropriate.
She'll never see the money. The Palis will backstab her by never mailing the checks.
In return, the French will never permit her to be kicked out of her apartment for non-payment.
Or if Arafat doesnt manage to divulge the accunt numbers at his deathbed..
If the Palestinian people put up with this, it'll be one more reason on a long list of reasons why they don't deserve their own state.
No wonder Hillary hugged her, or was it Mrs. Lieberman...I forget.
What does Chiraq get out of this? A 10% commission from the yearly sum maybe..
1.8 million...what? Not Dollars!
Blood money, how nice. Yuk.
Well, if things don't work out with Terayza, John Kerry might come a-courting looking for an upgrade.
I tried to find a pic of her earlier and couldn't ...anyone seen her?
That makes that child move to the top of Kidnappers lists.

... The Palestinian leadership in the West Bank and Gaza, however, has picked Mahmoud Abbas, alias Abu Mazen, to head the PLO while Prime Minister Ahmed Qorei will take over Arafats executive responsibilities in a period of transition.Kaddoumi was in Paris earlier this week reportedly to see the will that Arafat is supposed to have signed giving Suha full authority over the familys fortune estimated at between $4. 5billion and $6. 5billion.
Qorei, however, has denied that there is a will, raising speculation about the possibility that members of Arafats close entourage may well have asked him to sign something at a time he would not have been in possession of his full faculties.
