Unfortunately, if an area with 10,000 registered voters shows up with 9,950 votes for Kerry and 2,000 votes for Bush, Democrats will argue that the correct tally was really 9,950 to 50 until the Republicans added 1,950 bogus votes.

wonder if there was any impact on Ed Hermann's vote.. he is a great man .. great speaker. would have done a wonderful job as congressman. But the locals like the dorky Kucinich.. he does care for them through his incompetence

I would like to see a similar approach conducted in the Philly districts.

Again, my instincts tell me Bush realy won PA and what bvotes Kerry got over Bush were fradulent....

maybe it's wishful thinking but maybe not...

I actually, am less concerned about the Presidential vote turnout on this one. I am more concerned if the alleged fraud had more to do with Kucinich and issues on controlling the local level?

"We really ought to be able to come up with some way to coordinate things and make sure that each legally registered voter gets 1 vote and cant double up from precinct to precinct or state to state. "

Try the purple thumb. Worked great in Afganistan. Cheap, too.

"It may sound glamourous, but these callouses on my hands
aren't very pretty . . ."

Glamourous? I did all that from the time I was old enough to manage. I started plowing with a draft horse when I was in grade school and switched to a mule when the draft horse died, I milked the cow before school and after school as a teenager, I cut wood as one half of a two man saw team before I reached puberty, I probably averaged walking thirty miles a day every summer until I went into the Navy. Glamourous, it ain't!

"I would say that at least 10% 0f sKerry's votes should be tossed."

I would say that Kerry should be tossed, into the junkbin of history, I started to say something much worse but it made me sound like a leftist whiner.

This "Cuyahoga County overvote" story is moonbat material. The web page cited is simply in error. The detailed precinct-by-precinct results at http://boe.cuyahogacounty.us/boe/results/history/2004/110204_GE_Canvass.TXT do not show ANY overvoted precincts. In fact, the only overvote documented so far in the entire state of Ohio is th one Columbus area precinct where Pres. Bush was erroneously given an extra 3,893 votes.

Let's het real and not join the Olberman crowd! He mentioned this Cuyahoga BS last night on MSNBC.

I partially agree with the "junkbin of history" idea, but I think his records should be released and he should be forced to resign for being a traitor. He can always go live in France.

I think it was just a lot of good folks out driving around that day who decided just to stop in Cuyahoga county and cast a provisional ballot. Ya know, just doing their civic duty. Isn't that what the provisional ballots are for - so you can vote wherever and whenever the mood strikes you?

"Nah, just tell the Dems that we successfully "stole" the election from them a second time in a row. That's what they believe anyway!"

Let them spend money and time running in circles with their collective heads up their collective a** screaming that the election was stolen by the machines.

Middleburg Heights, somewhat mixed... Oakwood though, is a poorer black community probably very pro-Kerry. Moreland Hills is very uppity, very high priced homes.

I lived in Middleburg Heights for a few years - it is mixed. You're right about the other two, though Oakwood is closer to middle-class when compared to, say, East Cleveland. My suspicion is that this might have been done at the county level and not the local level.

I'll have to read more of the thread - was this based on "provisional" ballots or votes actually cast and counted on election day? Provisional ballots, by law (as if that means something to dems), are supposed to be validated before being counted.

Enough to make conservatives out of them, isn't it? Well, almost...

I heated one winter with wood--in North Dakota. Now I have a fireplace as supplemental heat or for emergencies, but that was a lot of work.

Why can we not get a national election registration?

National ID card? Rethink the solution, please. Eliminate provisional ballots. In or out.

Under the Furtherance of Democracy clause of the Schedule of Emanations and Penumbras of the Constitution, laws restricting voting to once per election per registered person shall not apply to votes for the Democrat Party or its candidates.

In other words, so long as this is Democrat ballot-box stuffing, we should not be concerned; it is normal, legal, and even a constitutionally-protected right; do we want to disenfranchise these ghosts? That's just what Democrats do. Republicans must counter these votes with the votes of real, living, and eligible voters. Yeah, it's hard, but that's just the way it is.

Oh, yeah, and I know for a fact that 195,998 unregistered North Dakotans voted for Bush. Fear not, North Dakota does not have voter registration.
