Many of the conservatives in Travis County have moved north to Williamson which is very Republican.

Many of the conservatives in Travis County have moved north to Williamson which is very Republican. Do you think that affected Jack Stick's state rep race?

Never mind the link, I found the map.
I was wondering why Maine was gray (and other areas), the map is from 1:37 am EST and isn't the final results.

My county, Cumberland, went red by over 4,000 votes this time. Too bad we still have all that blue stuff off to the west of us.
Go NC (B.B.B.)
Ok, well, 2 out of three ain't bad.

Do you think that affected Jack Stick's state rep race? Sorry but with 150 of those it's too far down the ballot for me to keep up with. I pinged a couple of guys who may be able to help you.

I think this is map is off. My county went for Bush and it's blue. I am looking for a bigger (file) version of the map for lots of reasons; posters, Tee shirts, etc. Where can I get one?

Do you think that affected Jack Stick's state rep race? There were a couple things at play in Stick's race.
First, there was a libertarian candidate in the race who took more than 2,000 votes - larger than Stick's margin of loss.
Second, Stick has pissed off a lot of republicans in his district by getting himself involved in other campaigns in the primaries and by getting one of his own primary challengers thrown off the ballot by the courts. This probably pushed several of them into the Libertarian column or caused them not to vote in it.
Third, Stick is a bit of an @$$hole and it's hard to get voters worked up in favor of a candidate like that.

Why the hell is my county white? It's a real dark blue. 62.79% blue.

It's looks to me like there are MANY more red counties than blue in Illinois. How did it go to Kerry? Cook?
