I want to apologize. Yesterday, as the exit polls broke, I began to panic. Was packing my survival gear and looking at the topo map. Unfortunately, some of my posts reflected this state of near melt down. Pres Kerry? The universe couldn't be that cruel.
Should have had faith. I apologize for that.
But I sure feel great now !!!!

I want to apologize for snapping at you yesterday. Living in a red state makes it hard for me to understand tension others feel.
And I don't think I ever told you welcome to FR!

I was freakin' too. Not as bad as one of my co-workers though. I came real close last night of having a long talk with two of my friends: Jack Daniels and Jim Beam.

I have never been happier to be wrong. I really thought Kerry would pull the key states and take the win last night.

Just bookmark the thread, and right before the 2008 race, pull it up and remember.

I also need to apologize for all my down projections. I have been humbled by the President's faith and confidence. He is truly a great leader

I'll echo that! I was beside myself all day (my wife kept asking me who that guy beside me was). Words can not describe how happy I am now! The fact that Bush won a clear majority of the popular vote makes it all the better!

I was so upset that I had a complete media blackout in effect. I have been home sick with the flu so the TV was a temptation, but the thought of a Kerry victory and having to face all the rabid Dims in my office--I work in DC--was so sickening that I couldn't bear to turn on the TV, the radio or even go online. You weren't alone.

You also forgot this:
Hold your ground! Hold your ground.
Sons of Gondor, of Rohan, my brothers,
I see in your eyes the same fear that would take the heart of me.
A day may come when the courage of men fails, when we forsake our friends and break all bonds of fellowship, but it is not this day.
An hour of wolves and shattered shields, when the age of men comes crashing down, but it is not this day.
This day we fight! For all that you hold dear on this good Earth, I bid you stand, Men of the West!! Thank G-d we were not alone.

You guys should know better than to pay attention to the lame stream media too early on election day. I didn't really start monitoring stuff until 6:30pm ET.

everybody panicked..
I walked about 3 hours all over Brentwood TN to walk it off in the late afternoon.

Speaking on behalf of the human race, I forgive you.Hey! Cut that out.
I didn't get to vote. Speak for yourself.
But that does remind me... Anybody keep a list of the dummies who posted "Kerry by a landslide" crap the last couple of weeks? I wish I had!

Well now, what happened is ... ah ... one of our base commanders, he had a sort of ... well, he went a little funny in the head ... you know ... just a little ... funny. And, ah ... he went and did a silly thing. ... Well, I'll tell you what he did. He ordered his planes ... to attack your country...
We all make silly mistakes.
