Two 'highlights' from Elizabeth Edwards' just-completed interview on the Larry King show:
1. in describing the need to bring the country back together after the election, she expressed the fear W would be incapable of doing it, because he engaged in "character assassination" during the campaign; and
2. asked what her priorities would be if her husband and Kerry are elected, she mentioned her desire to be an advocate for military families, saying they haven't been fairly treated, and that military families hesitate to criticize W for fear of "recriminations by the Commander-in-Chief."

She is the worst-dressed large woman I've ever seen on TV.
She could take lessons from Della Reese, who is big and beautiful and always elegant.

I used to think that Edward's wife was just a successful attorney, a bit overweight, had a miscarriage or some such tragedy befall her, and stayed clear of the political fray as beneath her, but to hear this, she identifies herself as a true leftist pig, saavy to the very underhanded techniques she is accusing her husband's apponent of employing. Sick stuff.

I'm actually a little ashamed of myself. But compared with accusing W of "character assassination" and of being capable of "recriminations" against military families . . .

I really hate the fact that I defended this pig at the beginning.

When you first hear her, her tone is reasonable. But then she'll come out with one of these truly vicious statements.

You have to say -- the whole Kerry-Edwards ticket puts the Clampetts to shame. These people are as uncouth as it gets.

Gee, Liz, thanks for weighing in.

I haven't paid much attention to the election stuff in the last 10 days or so, since my Dad died on recently.
I haven't heard these sort of idiotic remarks coming out of her mouth. How disgraceful she is.
