Tex, why don't you come on up to New Hampshire and help us out? God didn't part the Red Sea for the Israelites until they'd waded in up to their necks, so it's told, and New Hampshire was a dead-even tie in the last poll.

Come on up to 227 Main Street in Nashua and let us New Hampshire Republicans put you to work. You can't save Massachusetts from the Democrats, but you can make a difference here in New Hampshire.

The Dems bussed union guys up from Massachusetts to harass and intimidate Benson supporters at the Benson-Lynch gubernatorial debates, and you can help offset the Dem influence that is sure to be brought to bear here.

Yeah, they substituted the incorrect term "District" for the correct term "Circuit." Correct that, and I believe the totality reads true.

Even if that's so, the Sixth Circuit could not have "reversed" two U.S. district court rulings in short order like this. Where (and when) was the briefing? U.S. Courts of Appeals sit in panels of three (or sit en banc with the full court) and issue opinions affirming or reversing based on a fully briefed case. That obviously didn't happen here.

As I said, the only thing that could have happened was that a stay was granted. But that's incredibly unlikely, because a stay will be granted only if the full panel is going to hear the case. And we're talking about two separate cases here.

I misread this...I of course agree and defer, counselor. The appellate court, as I understand it, DID reverse the demo patsy on the district court (who said NO observers).

This is not the Ohio Supreme Court, this is the Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals.

The Fifth's in New Orleans. It has jurisdiction over LA, TX, and MS. Get your facts straight.

Could be. But I put on my dredlocks wig and wore my hemp yarn vest. I also drove a Volvo wagon and carried a triple whip, double stiff, high octane Starbucks latte with a carmal swirl on top.

It's time sensitive, that stuff is waived in the interest of immediacy.

I really should have read the whole thing before I spouted off.

It's corrected up thread (there's even a map). If you're going to try to slam someone, read the thread first, or you're going to look like an ass trying to make petty debating points...like Lurch himself.

If you have to ask, it has probably been a long time since you have been in the secret place. As it has for so many. too busy. Sad but true.

He who dwells in the secret place shall abide in the shadow of the All Mighty.

(Read this book sometime it will bless your soul.."Secrets of the Secret Place by Bob Sorge)

but for tomorrow. Get on your knees and be silent. Thank God for your life and the life of a President who honors prayer. Remember even the disciples asked How shall we pray?....this is the prayer.

Our Father who art in heaven.... you know the rest.

God bless and Bless AZ.

The Ohio Supreme Court and the 6th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals are not the same court.

No cheating. Follow the rules. That's the conservative, Republican way.

BUT...BUT...BUT. That's NOT FAIR! The Democrats can't win this way!

Thank you.
I actually think that the poster misheard the announcement, because the only Ohio opinion out yet relates to the number of poll watchers, but the 6th circuit hasn't yet ruled on this issue. It's not on it's website, and it's not reported anywhere else. Nor is it "repeated" on Fox. So I just think that the report was misheard. The 6th Circuit is expected to rule in the next 3 hours.

While the system usually works as King of Florida described it, the rules change in situations like this, where immediate action (or an immediate stay) is necessary to prevent judicial mischief. What typically happens in such cases is that the appellate court will issue a decision based either on the briefs of the parties below or its own legal research (or, rather, that of the judges' law clerks).

I'm an appellate lawyer, and I can see it. know that the federal appellate courts are preparing for the worst, and those two district court rulings were so clearly erroneous and time-sensitive that an expedited ruling was certainly not out of the question.

I'm an appellate attorney, too. I'm not sure as you, though. It's convenient enough to write Dlott's ruling off as that of a wacked-out Clintonista appointee, but Adams' ruling -- he's a Bush appointee -- is another story altogether.

While it's true that given the time constraints, a single judge on the Sixth Circuit could have granted a stay under Fed. R. App. P. 8, again, we're talking about two cases here. Plus I still think we would have heard about it somewhere else other than the little erroneous Fox blurb.

I'll bet you made that dear lady's day Rokke. Bet she talks to her friends about you bringing her ballot for days. And thanks for helping.

I'll be standing in prayer with you Texas4ever late into the night tonight and all day tomorrow here in S.A.

2 Chronicles 7:14
...if my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and will heal their land.

Awesome conformation. Do you know I have my bible open to 2Chronicles Chapter6 at this moment. I thought about putting this verse but I felt all of 2 chronicles starting from chapter 6 would be good for all of us to read tonight.

Solomons Prayer of dedication. Thank you.
