Just announced on fox. Big victory for us!!!
THWAPP!
Are poll watchers only on duty tomorrow?
I will be on the lookout for them and advise you on Wednesday.
RamS
I'll be at a precinct early tomorrow until the polls close. I volunteered to help and they gave me the job of checker and challenger.
Not a big deal in my small state (but every honest vote counts.)
Personally think the Christian vote turnout is going to be huge this time. Even in black churches a lot of the evangelicals have been turning to Bush -- if we truly get 18% of the black vote, it would be fantastic.
We just finished an hour of prayer in Virginia for W and a fair election...may JUSTICE AND RIGHTEOUSNESS PREVAIL!!!
Wonderful! Bump for fairness and justice!
A moment later another poll worker motioned me over to her end of the table and asked my name. I gave that poll worker my name and she located my name in the log and then handed me another ballot. She pointed to the votiing cubicle and said "go vote." I responded "I just voted."
She said "No you didn't. You just got here."
I said "Yes I just got here and also just turned in my absentee ballot."
She said "Absentee ballot? We don't have you listed as voting absentee - just a second."
Then the poll worker looked up my name and said "Oh, I guess you are listed as an absentee voter."
Then I went over to the woman who had taken my absentee ballot, and asked her why I was offered an opportunity to vote twice. She shrugged and said "these things happen all the time."
Good luck, stay safe and keep your powder dry!
Well done.
Prayers for what?
Free and Fair Elections?
Bush's Victory?
Safety from Terrorists at Polling Places?
Lemme know & I'll take part of Arizona ;-)
Second, the Fox story says the "6th District Court of Appeals" reversed Dlott's and Adams' rulings. There is no "6th District Court of Appeals" at the federal level. That's the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit. (There is an intermediate Ohio appellate court called the Sixth District Court of Appeals (there are 12 appellate districts in Ohio), but of course they cannot "reverse" a federal judge's ruling.)
Third, it would be virtually impossible for the Sixth Circuit federal court to "reverse" the U.S. district courts' rulings. A stay might be somehow remotely possible, but I can't see it at this late hour.
Something really is screwy at Fox . . . .
Please keep praying for our president and the freeper families who have had bad news from AFghanistan today.
Yeah, they substituted the incorrect term "District" for the correct term "Circuit." Correct that, and I believe the totality reads true.

Unless, of course, they only did that because it was clear you were Republican; and if you were Democrat they'd have just winked and said "Fine!" and then--purely by accident--stamped two or three copies voting for Kerry, with the name and signature fields conveniently left blank.

You know, with video camcorders and / or cell phones, we could take quick photos of vans full of--well, possibly bussed-in 'rent-a-votes' and forward the license #'s and pictures of the occupants to other voting places in the precincts.
Then, when it is clear the same van with the same people is stopping at two or three different polling places, either
a) post on the internet and go challenge to votes;
or
b) first slash the van's tires or siphon gas out of the tank (hey, the people are ALREADY at the polls, so no prevention of votes!) and then have Pubbie volunteers drive the people home. While on the way, get chatty and see what they say, and make a note of the home address to match against information on file for the name they voted under.
c) If Union thugs try to beat you up, you have instant national coverage for FOX News...
I'm an appellate lawyer, and I can see it. know that the federal appellate courts are preparing for the worst, and those two district court rulings were so clearly erroneous and time-sensitive that an expedited ruling was certainly not out of the question.
