Walter has always been insane. Liberalism IS a mental disorder. He just is more vocal these days.

And you can bet Cronkite is a model of mental health compared with that psychopath, Dan Rather.

I heard that, right after he said this, Walter took his right shoe off and tried to comb his hair with it.

Is that true?

:)

Saw this on TV. Truly bizarre. Cronkite couldn't put two words together in a thoughtful manner. Looked like Yasser Arafat...dimentia is setting in. Larry shouldn't have had him on. He made a fool of himself.

Finally gone around the bend? Did you see the spot in that article where Cronkite was talking about a one-world-government? That was 5 years ago, there's no finally about it. The fact that someone like him has been called "the most trusted man in America" only strengthens my cynicism.

Karl Rove controls Osama - everybody knows that!

Why?

Two words - photos, goats.

What really put it over the top for me with Rather was when he said he considered Clinton an honest man.

Of course it was someone else in the "media" who gave him that title.

I'd say it's time for Kronkite to go to liberal hell.

walt was a kommie way back when...no cable or internet back then...he wouldn't/isn't trusted at all now.

just a burned out old kommunist has been that thinks ted (the swimmer) kennedy is still important.

he needs to changes his depends more frequently just so he doesn't smell so bad.

Did you see the spot in that article where Cronkite was talking about a one-world-government?

From A Speech to the UN by Walter Cronkite:

It seems to many of us that if we are to avoid the eventual catastrophic world conflict we must strengthen the United Nations as a first step toward a world government patterned after our own government with a legislature, executive and judiciary, and police to enforce its international laws and keep the peace.

To do that, of course, we Americans will have to yield up some of our sovereignty. That would be a bitter pill. It would take a lot of courage, a lot of faith in the new order.

But the American colonies did it once and brought forth one of the most nearly perfect unions the world has ever seen.

Not to be a bomb-thrower, but outside the U.S., the Bush family connection to the bin Ladin family is well-known. There's nothing sinister or surprising in that, really (if you're in the middle-eastern oil business, it would be weird not to do business with the bin Ladins). There is a lot of speculation about the connection in non-U.S. news sources, and a good newsman like Walter Cronkite would be aware of these speculations.
