10/31 WND Exclusive:Former Colonel 'Kerry's non-honorable discharge?'

Kerry's non-honorable discharge Exclusive: Earl Lively makes solid case senator left Navy under a cloud There is overwhelming evidence that the Navy gave John Kerry either a dishonorable discharge or an undesirable discharge – which is the equivalent of a dishonorable discharge without the felony conviction – and that, as a result of such discharge, he was stripped of all of his famous but questionable Navy awards and medals. And the kicker? The evidence is on his website!

One way is that the officer must submit to periodic physicals. If the officer doesn't want to take the physical, say, becuase they have gained a lot of weight since leaving active duty, the officer will be given the option of either resigning his commission and receiving an honorable discharge, or, failing that and refusing to attend a physical, receive something less than an honorable discharge.

Kerry's leaving active duty in '72 and not being discharged until '78 is probably no big deal.

No, not me.

However, I was both enlisted and commissioned. I definitely got a DD214 when I ETSed from enlisted serivce and I THINK I got it when I ETSed as opposed to when I finished my IRR two years later.

Again, if my memory is correct, I received a DD214 when I left active duty as a commissioned officer despite my having maintained my commission for several years.

Swiftvets - Kerry answers dishorable discharge in 71 interview - weird

CSpan Video (RealMedia or Alternate player required.)

Excerpts:

"We're talking to former Lt. John Kerry."

"Was there ever any question about you being dishonorably discharged?"

"Oh no, no, that has never been questioned."

Former Lt. John Kerry, let it sink in a bit, this was in November of 1971.

Yup, all you have to do is read backwards...start from what the Navy said when he was redischarged/pardoned by Carter. Reading between the lines you can't miss the obvious. His medals were reissued. Why? Because he'd been stripped of them six years earlier...or seven, but who's counting. The Navy has strict guidelines for stripping medals, so Kerry's problem should be right there in front of God and all the voters.

You are probably right. I maintained my commission for several years after my committment was up and I did nothing after I left active duty save for one physical.

This story reminds me of B-1 Bob Dornan's comments during his many special orders before the '92 election. He talked at length about all of Clinton's crimes during special orders and once made the comment about the Speaker's orders to have the camera pan the empty House chamber during the special order speeches. Dornan compared it to a street preacher who talked about Jesus: you knew he was right but all you did was put a dime in his cup and walked on by.

Two weeks or two months ago this would have been news - now it'll just be noise. Don't get me wrong - we're gonna win but now it's a ground game.

I came across something very interesting myself

when Kerry was running for the Democratic Congressional nominatinon in Mass. in 1970, he was telling everyone he was "honourably" discharged in March 1970 - see his interview with the Harvard Crimson Tide Feb. 18, 1970

that would appear to be incorrect, he only left active service then

and it was pointed out as well that the DD215, an amending document, noted that his service was terminated in March 1970, except this was issued in March 2001 and the theory is Kerry had his record whitewashed in order to deflect any arguments or perhaps any legal action that he commmited treason or a punishable offence by his anti war activities after March 1970, whilst still a commissioned officer, hmmmm

I sent an email a few days ago to brokaw at nbc asking him why the MSM has refused to both investigate and report on the descrepency.

Tip-Toe Tommy? He doesn't do investigations of liberal Democrats. Two days ago, in a softball interview with Kerry, John volunteered that "I haven't released my military records." I'm not sure if he was in his tip-toe mode or just not smart enough to realize that the history-making opportunity to bring out the truth just sailed right through his lap.

Perhaps; but the question still begs to be answered, "Why won't Kerry sign the Form 180? What is he hiding?

"I don't want to throw cold water on this, but officers are discharged very differently than enlisted. When an enlisted person gets out, and once any inactive reserve time is up, they are discharged.'.....But.....

Are you sure? I got a DD214 on the day I walked out of the Fort Dix transit barraks and headed home. I still hadd IRR time left, and two years later had to go to 2 weeks summer camp in support of the NJ National Guard.

Agreed, he certainly is hiding something, otherwise he would release it all. Why hasn't Dan Rather and CBS demanded the release of the records? Nevermind, it is a rhetorical question. ;)

Or perhaps this is why NavyCHIEF was asked to back off the related protest event. What would happen to the election process if Kerry were forced out of the picture (i.e., ineligible for the office) right now?

At the very least, the outcome would be chaotic, especially with so many early ballots already cast. What would they do, postpone the election? Drop Kerry and run Edwards (or, ugh, HRC) in his place? Declare the whole thing null and void, and award a second term to our President by default? Can you imagine the whining and howling from the Left?

The President has a war to tend to, a people to protect, and a country to run. Surely he doesn't need a mess like this to contend with in the 2004 three-ring election. And how would he ever get the Dems on board after a last-minute swipe (valid or not) that took out their candidate in the final 96 hours?

Much better to get out the vote, let Kerry continue to sink his own campaign, and let Bush win on the positive note against all odds and all cheat tactics. And after that, perhaps a proper investigation can be opened up to bring out the truth and assign accountability where it's due. Surely names are being taken.

its also possible that kerry wants people to say something so he can rebut them. it seems like those who care about his service, know about his antics and wouldnt vote for him. those who dont care, may get ticked off by bringing back vietnam into a 2004 election.

if BC keeps quiet about it, people can assume why he never sign 180. and thats exactly what they are looking for.

if everything in his record is hunkeedoree, this would backfire on BC like crazy.

Why is just the cover letter to his honorable discharge on his website and NOT THE ACTUAL DISCHARGE?

"Kerry's people are quite capable at cutting/pasting/editing and re-Xeroxing stuff to create papers that say what ever looks good, and the bad stuff could have been taken out. "

Could that be why documents on sKerry's website list 1 of his medals as "Siver Star with V"?

Many posters here with military experience have said that there is no such designation 'V' (for valour) given for the Silver Star because that award requires valour for it's consideration.

Yes, a discharge and a DD214 are different animals. I seperated twice from active duty and received a 214 both times, once enlisted and once commissioned. My HONORABLE [:)] discharges came later, two years later from enlisted and 2-3 years commissioned.

Seems odd. So if your an old fart and haven't resigned your commission and you want to exercise your VA benefits, what document do you present, if not your DD214?
