Watching CNN and MSNBC the commentators look depressed when talking about this Bib Laden tape. Chris Mathews looks like he wants to hide under the table when they say how this is bad for Kerry

As forr your aspersion, your boy kerry was the one who made obl a cheap and tawdry political point, especially with his being caught in a lie, by kerry's own words and Gen. Tommy Franks statements refuting kerry's lie.

It has been my premise for some time now ... you can read the results of elections in the early evening hours of a Presidential election by the body language and mood of the network anchors. If they're upbeat and suppressing high fives ... the Republican candidate is in trouble. If they're neutral, the race is close and they don't know. If, on the other hand, they're surly and quiet, seemingly depressed the Republican (in this case Bush) is kicking butt in the exit polls and the liberal, lefty 'Rat weenie is in big trouble.
My boy Kerry? He's done yeoman's work for Bush and you know it.
Even Gore -- pilloried by the feminists for his pro-life record, locked in his office by gays, happening to mention LOVE CANAL, bringing up Oxy connections just in time for mass suicides in Colombia, busting a dam wide open for a Mr. Environment photo op -- couldn't hold a candle to the Kerry Duo where self-immolation's concerned.
Know why? .... REPORTING FOR DUTY ... Because Kerry's got the incredible dual role ... REPORTING FOR DUTY ... of pumping UP the war effort ... REPORTING FOR DUTY ... the Democrat convention being little more than ... REPORTING FOR DUTY ... a recruiting commercial interspersed ... REPORTING FOR DUTY ... with support for President Bush's groundbreaking ESCR human experimentation project.
I don't have a dog in this race. I'm enjoying some true Wimmen's Liberation and adhering to the Founding Fathers where they believed only Property Owners ought to vote. Luckily, I'm weak in the materialist department and have Nothing that qualifies as Real Property.
(I'd include my contention that women shouldn't vote either but that's more of a private conviction that's been ingrained on a Daily Dose sort of basis.)
The dems are very concerned about the potential effects of the tape.
The American public has fragmented over the war, thanks to the efforts made to drive a wedge into what was a picture of unity.
This revelation that OBL is alive and well, plus the text of his ranting is pulling that wedge back out a bit.
The Democrats did the unthinkable and politicized a war by condemning it and blaming every negative on Bush, even making up a large array of false negatives to aid in the process. They put everything they had into it.
A simple concept like Universal American hatred toward one man who we had not heard of in many months was not a concern at the time. They thought they had overcome it, but rumors were flying that Bush had him stashed away and would bring him out in the final days.
Well dang! Guess who came to dinner!

I have a few comments here in Alaska:
1. 9/11 the preparations took place for over 2 years before GW came into office. So's whose shift is responsible.
2. We all knew that Kerry would be the terrorists pick..if our defense was down with Clinton they know our defense will be down with Kerry. WAKE UP AMERICA!
3. If Kerry sold out our POW during Vietnam no one in their right mind would want him as commander-in-chief over our Armed Forces - WAKE UP AMERICA and give our troops someone they can support remember how they felt with Bill Clinton - embarrassed and wouldn't salute him.
4. Kerry has had 20 years to introduce his own legislation in the Senate to show how he would protect this country...tell what's he's accomplished on his own.
