Bush, by the way, did the right thing--he signed his Form 180.

I was unaware of this. I knew he had released lots of records, but I thought neither President Bush nor Kerry had signed a 180.

Without Kerry's assistance, however, it will take a critical and very timely leak or we will never know the truth behind Kerry's military service in time for it to make the difference. O.K., then we beat them at their own game; we start the "speculation" that Kerry received a less than honorable discharge until intervention from former President Jimmy Carter. In law, I believe they call that, establishing reasonable doubt.

I don't have a source but I read here that President Bush signed his.

Interestingly, Kerry's honorable discharge letter from the Department of the Navy, dated February 16, 1978, notes that Kerry's discharge was taken "by direction of the President" and "with the approved recommendations of a board of officers convened under the authority of reference [10 USC Sec. 1163] to examine the official records of officers of the Naval Reserve.."

I have no doubt he was granted less than honorable earlier if this is so and he is not releasing all his records.

I've sent this info to everyone I felt had the gonads to say something about it. Rush, Anne Coulter, Laura Ingrahm, Sean Hanity, Gibson, O'Reilly, and thats just the Fox bunch. I gave them the FBI file on VVAW and the part about the assaination of Senators, meeting with the VC with commie money backing them and all the dirt.........NADA! Nothing in 2 weeks.

The fix is in! Can't the Swiftboaters do it? I sent it to them also.

Among other things, the new form changes Kerry's official US Navy separation date to March 1, 1970!

Maybe someone can help me out here. Kerry's DD214 from his website lists a separation date of March 1, 1970. Now, I realize this is a separation from active duty to the USNR (i.e., not a discharge!). It would not be the final entry in his DD214, which would eventually include his discharge from the Naval Reserves. However, I'm confused by the fact that the DD215 appears to update this date of separation (not discharge) to the same date. Furthermore, LTC Patterson appears to pass off the "updated" separation date as a date of discharge. What am I missing here?
