Prosecute, jail...make an example of.
This is a hate crime, is it not?
Sentence them to 6 months in a Tommy Franks re-education camp!
***This is a hate crime, is it not?***
You are RIGHT! Give them twice the sentence.
LOL
ping
I so want a victory on November 3rd just to know that their tactics didn't work.
Alright! nail them for a felony and take away thier right to ever vote!
Gee, I must've missed the CBS/AP report on this one. It's amazing, the MSM reports on every mundane anti-Kerry activity...even without witnesses or police reports. Yet, they continue to ignore the multiple cases of anti-Bush activity, that often results in arrests and even admissions.
A competent judge could turn this into a learning experience for them - persuading them to learn what fascism is really about, the dangers of true intolerance and why those who are attempting to inculcate these kids to equate the president with national socialism aren't helpful.
"Three teenagers are charged with a felony ..."
Charging them with a felony seems a bit much. What's the definition of a felony in Minnesota? They are accused of doing over $500 property damage. Is there some dollar limit over which vandalism becomes a felony?
No. It is much more serious.
It is voter intimidation.
Great idea, and include having to pay back the costs, though that doesn't pay back the emotional hit. Sometimes I think the only way to get through is to have done to them what they did. Something that's comparable, not necessarily in cost but in psychological/emotional value? Kids, hmmm, do they have computers with some special thing they downloaded not replaceable?
A Dim tried to run down Rep. Katherine Harris in his car while she was out campaigning in Sarasota Tuesday night. She was with a group of supporters on a sidewalk waving signs when this dude swerved onto the sidewalk right at the group. He claimed he was "exercising his freedom of expression" by trying to intimidate Harris. It's received virtually NO play in the media outside of Florida, and even the paper in Sarasota (a virulently left wing NYT-owned rag) tried to downplay it as much as they could, making the barest snickering mention of the incident.
If the MSM's now ignoring aggravated assaults on US Representatives, why should we expect them to even notice a few trashed BC'04 signs? Besides, both sides are doing it. </MSM sneering spin>
After learning that homeowner Bob James was upset, the teenage boys went to the Duluth News Tribune in September and confessed, apologizing for what they did.
So they thought painting a swastika outside the home wouldn't be upsetting?
"Teenagers"... what do you want to bet these were ADULT teenagers, say 18 and 19?
Most states define a felony as a serious offense entailing a sentence of more than one year or the death penalty. A few, like Louisiana, define it as a serious offense calling for a year or more of hard labor or the death penalty. For crimes involving money, such as theft, robbery, vandalism, etc. the cut-off point can vary. If these teenagers have no previous criminal history, they'll probably get off with no time, just an order to perform community service and make restitution.
