A competent judge could turn this into a learning experience for them - persuading them to learn what fascism is really about, the dangers of true intolerance and why those who are attempting to inculcate these kids to equate the president with national socialism aren't helpful.
Great idea, and include having to pay back the costs, though that doesn't pay back the emotional hit. Sometimes I think the only way to get through is to have done to them what they did. Something that's comparable, not necessarily in cost but in psychological/emotional value? Kids, hmmm, do they have computers with some special thing they downloaded not replaceable?
