Fantastic article and fantastic writing as usual, Mr. Steyn.
However, if (perish the thought.. cough cough... hack hack) Mr. Kommie were to steal the election next Tuesday (or his lawyers were to steal it for him in the ensuing fortnight)
then I submit that never would your journalistic services be more sorely and desperately needed than during the years of an (ack.. ack,, retch retch) Kurry administration.
So please do not even tempt the enemies of decency and civilization by even hinting that your retirement would ensue upon an adverse election result.
We cannot afford this kind of unilateral disarmament at a time of national crisis.

Mr. Steyn should be careful. The door might hit him on his way out.

The Republicans will make a net gain of two seats in the Senate, one of which will bring with it the scalp of the Democrats leader, Tom Daschle. Despite distancing himself from Kerry and running ads showing him and Bush embracing, Daschles floundering in South Dakota, and his lugubrious mien will be even more lugubriouser within the week. I had to look up lugubrious. It means TDIDS.

At one time I thought it was crazy for Bush to go out to Hawaii, but the more I think about it, since they are so far behind time wise...he could go at the very end. It would get a LOT of NATIONAL air time and give the impression that momentum is in his favor and would probably cement Hawaii, and be as beneficial as a 12134th trip to FLorida. It certainly would make for good TV...where better to watch the election than Honolulu?

Why should Hawaii vote for Pres Bush and other Republicans?
North Korean Missiles can, or will be able to in the near future, reach Hawaii (and parts of Alaska). Senator Kerry and Democrats want to shut down missile defense. This leaves Hawaii and parts of Alaska vulnerable to North Korean nuclear attack. Hawaii and Alaska should wake up and vote Republican!!

My sense is that the 2002 model is still operative, and that the Democrats and the media, talking to each other in their mutually self-deluding cocoon, have overplayed the Bush-bashing. Next Tuesday the President will win the states he won last time, plus Iowa, Wisconsin, New Mexico and Maines Second Congressional District to put him up to 301 electoral votes. Minnesota? Why not? Nudge him up to 311 electoral votes. Oh, and what the hell, give him Hawaii: thats 315. Look for a handful of Republican House gains, too. And Democrats tearing their hair out or John Kerrys and John Edwardss hair, if they can penetrate the styling gel. Good to see that Mark Steyn is keeping the faith. More than that, he provides logic and reasoning to back up his prognostications! Keep the faith all - the time of our deliverance is nigh!

Success and proven leadership are facts ,not propaganda like we see from kerry. That should be enough, for ANYONE to vote for Bush!
