> At one time I thought it was crazy for Bush to go out to Hawaii, but the more I think about it, since they are so far behind time wise...he could go at the very end.

Now there's a plan. Send it in.

"Kin I get me a coconut-huntin' license here?"

("His Essential Kerryness")

Just checked the site. That essay was from the all-Kerry issue in Sept.
You've got some reading to catch up on, ma'am! ;^)

Check out his very latest from the issue I got in the mail only yesterday:

The Phillipine connection actually ties in well with what I have been thinking. My wife is Japanese and Hawaii has a strong Japanese base as well. In my discussions with her and her family they have come out fairly strong pro-Bush. If this is any indication of the Japanese base in Hawaii then I would not be suprised if it goes for Bush on the 2nd.

If Bush goes, the cat moves to France - might as well be in the real place rather than in a Francewannabe!

Since you folks are some of the more prominent anti asimilationists at this forum, I urge you all to read this paper - click on "HEY NOW WHATS THAT SOUND, EVERYBODY LOOK WHATS GOING DOWN"

...abseiling...

Dang, this guy always makes me have to look up stuff.

As for his analysis, I share the unease toward the potential level of fraud. The left is pulling out all the stops for this one.

Well, guys, looks like he's serious.

You have to admire the cojones, I suppose, but at the same time I sure hope he doesn't desert us if Bush doesn't win.

As Uncle Sam says, we'll need him more than ever.

My son is an Air Force Major currently stationed in Hawaii.(Boy, visiting him and his family is rough duty.) W and Laura DID pay a visit to Hawaii this summer. They got a HUGE reception from the troops there and the locals.

What a great word. There was a book I read as an early teenager (e.g. ~ 25 years ago), by one of Upton Sinclair's school of authors (I think it might have been Norris), can't remember the title - typical early 20th century "progressive" (aka Commie) rot, that described its protagonist / "victim," an unlicensed "dentist" in San Francisco, as spending lots of time playing "lugubrious airs" on his concertina. That was about the most recent encounter I had with that particular word.

Were America to elect John Kerry president, it would be seen around the world as a repudiation not just of Bush and of Iraq but of the broader war. It would be a declaration by the people of American unexceptionalism — that they are a slightly butcher Belgium...

That says it all. Thanks for the ping...wish I had his way with words.

My sense is that the 2002 model is still operative, and that the Democrats and the media, talking to each other in their mutually self-deluding cocoon, have overplayed the Bush-bashing.

Trying to make it a self-fulfilling prophecy, but I don't think it's gonna work!
