Sorry I don't have an exact transcript - and I don't think I was hearing things - but it really struck me as relevant.

Let me get this straight. The NYT issues a bogus story on missing explosives. Kerry then makes it a key part of his campaign. Then the NYT reports on the new theme of Kerry's campaign. Then Kerry makes an ad touting the NYT story.

Rush just read a CNN story from 1/2003 "Al Aqaa a WMD site"...anyone have a link (vanity)
The Iraqi explosives story CBS and the New York Times ran yesterday is a fraud. These weapons were not there when US troops went to this site in 2003. The IAEA and its head, the anti-American Mohammed El Baradei, leaked a false letter on this issue to the media to embarrass the Bush administration.  Here you go:

Link to CNN Story

 http://www.cnn.com/2003/WORLD/meast/01/24/sprj.irq.inspections/index.html

Here is a link to DRUDGE story on it:

Link to DRUDGE story

Fox also had an article about Qa Qaa Site:

http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,83252,00.html

UN Report in 2003 notes Iraq "lost" HMX & converted remaining HMX stocks into "industrial explosive"  Uh oh, looks like the MSM got caught with it's pants down again.

As I said yesterday, Joe Lockhart on the Kerry-Edwards conference call yesterday said the missing explosives: "Central issue for the rest of the campaign."

This is their October Surprise and they have nothing else but vote fraud. They have to go with this story no matter if it is a lie or not. They have nothing else. Desperation has set in for the Dems and it is blowing up in their face.

We in the "New Media" need to keep telling everyone we know that this story is a "LIE" and Kerry is a liar as well as MSM

Edwards rips Bush for lost Iraq explosives (Will Edwards apologize now?)  I have been contacting the media sources that are continuing the missing explosives lie trying to pressure them to issue retractions and to get Kerry Campaign people to comment on the latest information about this story that they have been using as a political attack against President Bush. I urge you all to do the same.

Why don't they just call it the Oct 25th Surprise, since they have a new one everday.
This is not the real October surprise- it's too early for the critical hit; there's a whole week for the story to be shot at and sunk - The real attack comes at the end of week and is directed at Bush's character, a follow-up to the Kitty Kelly and Dan Rather types of attack.

THE DITTOCAM IS ON! Live Rush Thread   Rush is ripping CBS, NYT, and Kerry a new one. (LOVING IT)
I have a feeling that this is going to hurt CBS and Kerry in the long run. I am glad that NBC came forward with their footage showing the explosives were moved before we took Baghdad. You would think that CBS and Dan Rather would have learned their lesson after Memo-gate-- In a lot of workplaces today (and for the next week) people are fixating on the election. It's topic #1 in conversations. So even if the MSM doesn't get on it, those of us of the PJ platoons can burn peoples ears off at work about it.

"what's coming out now is just old useless info. Am I wrong?"
I believe you are correct, if they had anything, anything at all they would have used it by now. They are recycling old news- remember the national guard story they tried to resurrect and put some extra pepper on it by sending in FAKE documents. Again the bloggers came to the rescue and were the first to prove the documents as false. Everything they have tried to throw at this president has fallen flat on its face-

"Obviously this isn't a case of Bush failing to "guard" the explosives. By the time our troops got there they weren't there to guard."
Another CLASSIC case of guilt by accusation. The truth didn't matter, only the accusation. And once again, the MSM jackals run full tilt with the story, without adequate corroboration, as long as they had any chance of smearing President Bush. The decades long practice of MSM lies, smears, and propaganda against Republicans continues.

Drudge now reporting Iraq depot story was shopped to CBS' 60 minutes before reported by NYT   60 Minutes wanted to report this garbage on election eve...
Dear God these people at CBS and in the MSM are desperate to bring down a sitting POTUS...at any cost. I suspect anything and everything reported as NEWS for the last half century from the MSM...

Kerry wants answers on missing explosives
It's on the CNN website http://www.cnn.com/2004/WORLD/meast/10/26/iraq.explosives/index.html I sent a copy to myself, just in case it disappears.
"Are you keeping up with this on the thread about Hanoi Documents: Two recently discovered documents captured from the Vietnamese communists during the Vietnam War strongly support the contention that a close link existed between the Hanoi regime and the Vietnam Veterans Against the War (VVAW) while John Kerry served as the group's leading national spokesman"
See page 25 of THE FBI FILES
More to investigate for the John F. Kerry Timeline.
Here's the direct link to the WinterSoldier.com article that this WorldNetDaily article is summarizing:
What ironies! Bob Woodward and the press fought to bring to light the Watergate facts. Today, the MSM consciously avoids the facts and it is left to ordinary patriots to uncover the rot. Well done.
 Link
I've known all this (not about Kerry, specifically, but the war protestors) since my days in military intelligence. I never thought I'd see the day that a 'useful idiot' or worse, communist mole, would be nominated for the highest office in the land.

So in other words, IAEA told Iraq to move the explosives to a "safer location" - and they did - somewhere so safe the stuff hasn't been seen since.. and they FORGOT THIS WHEN THEY TOLD NYT/CBS IT WAS MISSING?

This story was a planned lie from the beginning, just as the Rather's memo-gate was.

The lib/dems know it is a lie. Even Kerry does. Yet, all day today, he has been out yelling it again and again.

Why?

== Tell a big enough lie or lie enough times, and part of it is bound to stick. ==

That is all Kerry wants--some of the lie to stick and maybe sway a few more votes his way.

So it looks like the IAEA checked while Saddam was removing the materials and did nothing. It was the responsibility of the United Nations to destroy the explosives, and as usual, the UN failed.

Now remember that John Kerry is running on a platform of giving this incompetent organization even more "responsibility".

If true, this is very good news--problem is 3 tons is still 3 tons, and the Kerry people/MSM will now go "6000 POUNDS MISSING!!!" But at least this puts Kerry on the defensive about his rush to cast judgement.

On my blog I hae links to the IAEA testimony in feb 2003, where they DID mention that all the RDX had been moved from this site. but the other type (MNX?) was verified as still there according to january 2003 site visit.

This was all supposed to come out after the 60 Minutes hit and Kerry election. They knew the story was bogus and would unravel after 48 hours. The question is when and how do we get rid of CBS, the NYT and the rest of the MSM?

Hmmmmm, I think this likely has something to do with the Iraqi request to move a bunch of the stuff for industrial use.

This is relevant, because the IAEA does not know how much they actually moved.

On their last check, they did not go into the bunkers, they only checked the seals and took Saddam's word.

All these huge tonnage numbers are based on the January count, not the amount remaining after the request to move. They never recounted the stuff and have no leg to stand on in this regard.

It is all BS from the IAEA and we know why.(Oil for bribes)

when are they going to get their story right? before they told the UN that 30 tons were missing, in January 2003

So the IAEA "misplaced" 177 tons of high explosives before they even left Iraq? LOL!!

Oh, right Senator, it's the troops fault they couldn't guard what the U.N. allowed to be lifted before the war started.
