On Tuesday, October 26, over 500 supporters of President Bush gathered outside the Indiana University of Pennsylvania Field House to protest an appearance by Michael Moore. Moore, who was paid for by IUP student activities fees, was visiting IUP as part of his national "Slackers Uprising Tour".Rhonda Goodrich, Courtney Adams, the IUP College Republicans, and the Indiana County Young Conservatives organized the event, and were extremely pleased with the turnout. The counter protest to Michael Moore was so effective that even Moore himself had to mention the crowd outside. "I have never seen anything like this," Moore told the audience at IUP.
Pick up a copy of National Review...they always have advertisements describing conservative colleges and universities. In fact, I seem to recall they periodically publish a pamphlet describing various conservative colleges and universtities.
Best of luck.
The Citadel! By far! My son is in his third year there on the Navy's nickel.
Mississippi State or Texas A&M
Young Conservatives of Pennsylvania actually had the Protest Warrior signs. We had printed off a few of them for use when we protested Moore at Penn State, and just recycled them. From what I understand Protest Warrior was not there last night.
Yes,, and the head of the BEAST IS ? THE MSM,, we need to bring them down first now.
All Right!!! Go YCOPs!
And they say conservatives aren't environmentally conscious. :)
MSU is about the most conservative school in the SEC. My husband and I went there back in the dark ages.
The O"Reilly Fator has a guest on last night whose polling indicated that of people influenced by Michael Moore, 4% decided to vote for Kerry and 24% for Bush.
We need to fund his new tour!
My son in the Military?! HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
Hillsdale - do not think there is much question about that. It receives NO Federal funding.
Way to go. Thanks for a great post.
Even the Russians aren't communist today. We need to take the Universities back from elite liberals. To be a communist in today's world is more brain-dead than even liberals can pull off... That ship has sailed.
Only about one third there are going military. You might note that the starting pay for Citadel grads is about 80,000. Compare that to other college grads.
Just wanted to chime in--Grove City College in Grove City, PA is very good, very conservative, and very reasonable.
Also, I am one of the Young Conservatives who helped out with the rally. It was an absolute blast. I haven't had that much fun in a long time. And our side was clearly having a better time!
Great! Hope there is a lot of celebrating come Tuesday night. Landslide!
Bowling Green State (OH) used to lean conservative.
How has BJU "libbed up" lately? Just wondering 'cause a bunch of my family went there a while ago.
Hillsdale is good!
I'm just surprised the others were willing to march around him. If a premature confetti blast had gone off, they would have wet themselves and scattered like the roaches they are.
