CHENEY RESPONDS TO KERRY/TIMES/BARADEI OCTOBER SURPRISE
The Kerry Spot ^ | 10/26/04 | Jim Galagher

our troops had not gone into Iraq as John Kerry apparently thinks they should not have, that is 400,000 tons of weapons and explosives that would be in the hands of Saddam Hussein, who would still be sitting in his palace instead of jail," the vice president told supporters in his first comment on the controversy that erupted Monday.

2. Who thinks that a dictator, about to go to war, would honor the "seal" of the UN weapons inspectors and just say "Gee, too bad I can't use those explosives in the war"

Apparently John Kerry does

If I recall .. Johnny thought we should have given it more time before with went to war

Something about the Wrong Time .. Wrong War ..

That's the problem, he doesn't have to, and that's why he chooses to be one.

John Kerry has always chosen the path of least resistance

KERRY'S SECRET DRAFT PLANS

FOR AGES 18-26. MEN AND WOMEN. NO COLLEGE EXEMPTIONS. THIS NEEDS TO BE
CIRCULATED AROUND ASAP. Subj: U.S. Military Draft expected to start under
John Kerry - READ this

Importance: High Subject: Military Draft expected under John Kerry If there
are children in your family, READ this. John Kerry has now called for
increasing the U.S. military by 40,000 troops, probably in order ``to match
its new missions'' in the war on terror and homeland security."

http://quote.bloomberg.com/apps/news?pid=71000001&refer=us&sid=apQHTegvEtDo

This includes sending more troops to Iraq.
http://www.usatoday.com/news/politicselections/nation/president/2004-04-18-kerry-nbc_x.htm

Kerry has gone on record as stating that "As President, John Kerry will call
on young people to help strengthen America's security."

http://web.archive.org/web/20040210043828/www.johnkerry.com/issues/natservice/

There is pending legislation in the House and Senate HR163 and Senate S89 by
Democrats Charles Rangel from NY and Fritz Hollings of South Carolina to
reinstitute the draft.

Here is a link to the CNN article about the Rangel bill
http://www.cnn.com/2003/ALLPOLITICS/01/07/rangel.draft/

All the supporters of this bill are Democrats: Mr. RANGEL, Mr. HOLLINGS, Mr.
MCDERMOTT, Mr. CONYERS, Mr. LEWIS, Mr. STARK, and Mr. ABERCROMBIE

These bills will time the program's initiation so the draft can begin as
early as Spring 2005 -- just after the 2004 presidential election.

The democrats are quietly trying to get these bills passed now, while the
public's attention is on the elections, so our action on this is needed
immediately.

See the following websites to view Bills: http://www.hslda.org/legislation

Congress brought twin bills, S. 89 and HR 163 forward, entitled the
Universal National Service Act of 2003, "to provide for the common defense
by requiring that all young persons [age 18--26] in the United States,
including women, perform a period of military service or a period of
civilian service in furtherance of the national defense and homeland
security, and for other purposes."

These active bills currently sit in the committee on armed services.

Dodging the draft will be more difficult than those from the Vietnam era.
This plan, among other things, eliminates higher education as a shelter and
includes women in the draft. College students would not be exempt under the
new draft. Kerry has stated that "A Kerry Administration will offer
Americans the chance to earn the equivalent of their state's four-year
public college tuition in exchange for two years of service."

Actions, actions, actions:

Please send this on to all the parents and teachers you know, and all the
aunts and uncles, grandparents, godparents.... And let your children know -
it's their future, and they can be a powerful voice for change! Please also
contact your representatives to ask them why they aren't telling their
constituents about these bills -- and contact newspapers and other media
outlets to ask them why they're not covering this important story.

The draft $28 million has been added to the 2004 Selective Service System
(sss) budget to prepare for a military draft that could start as early as
June 15, 2005. Selective Service must report to the next president on March
31, 2005 that the system, which has lain dormant for decades, is ready for
activation.

Please see website: http://www.sss.gov/perfplan_fy2004.html to view the SSS
annual performance plan - fiscal year 2004.

WHAT TO DO: >Tell all your friends!!!!! >Contact your Senators & Reps and
tell them to oppose these bills!!! >Send this email to everyone you know,
and ask them to forward it to draft age teenagers and their parents.

We need to stop the kerry draft before it is too late!

"No Monday Morning Quarterback has ever led a team to victory"

Neither have Armchair Generals. It's ironic that Vietnam became a failure is because politicians got involved.

On Israeli satellite - photos of HUGE trucks taking stuff into Syria.

I think it's a safe bet some of the stuff from "Al Caca" was in them.

KERRY'S SECRET DRAFT PLANS ....

These plans should be filed under "Accuse your opponent what you yourself are guilty of".

And no need to prove they actually existed, either. If you can't find them they never existed, right? No matter who thought they did (before they didn't), right? If this much high explosive could just up and disappear, why not the missing WMDs?

Brilliant!

Good point, and someone like Cheney should say this something like: "Why are they so willing to believe the explosives were there, but vanished, but sure he never HAD any WMD? Couldn't they have disappeared at some point before or at the start of the war?"

Good question. I personally think that there will be no Republican initiated October Surprise. However, the way this story about explosives moves, it could be the boomerang that smacks the dems. in the back of the head. I've seen more dumb things come from the press and Kerry's campaign, so I think they've eroded the sympathetic vote who at one time could have voted for Kerry, but now will not.

I'm beginning to wonder if there WERE any explosives there! It would be no surprise to me if el Baradei MADE IT UP!

> "That's why, in my plan, I add two active duty divisions
> to the United States Army, not for Iraq, but for our
> general demands across the globe."

If that's an actual Kerry quote,
it's either a lie,
or he'll need a draft to do it.

Both explanations are consistent with his general
reverse projection hoax posture on the draft.

Here's a summary of the draft hoax.

I just had a thought: bleached flour.

It was shipped to Iraq in plentiful quantities.

It resembles the powder form of the explosives in question.

Baradei as an anti-nuclear-proliferation tsar has been an abject failure, but is up for reelection soon.

Things that make you go hmmmm.

3. How do they know that the particular explosives they are referring to were not moved and have already been destroyed in one of the other weapons dumps?

Yeah, and if the munitions were missing before our troops got there, how do we know those very munitions weren't used up firing at our guys during day 1 of the war?

I'm not so sure... this stuff really wasn't all that unique or hard to come by. We're talking fairly garden variety explosives here. Sure... it's better than good old fashioned TNT, but it really isn't all that different, either. We're talking about components for Plastique or C-4 here... it's not like this stuff is some kind of rare commodity in the world.

As I said on another thread, but will paste in here because I'm lazy:

I do wonder why they (NYT & 60mins) thought this was a big deal... I mean... we've located and destroyed some 400,000 tons of ordnance so far. This seems like quibbling. It's no secret that all of Iraq is an enormous ammo depot. At the end of the day, we're talking about ordinary explosives, much of which we already know is in the hands of the bad guys, cuz they've been blowing up stuff.

Why is this really even news?

He will ..

I CAN'T WAIT!

As I told my daughter when we were talking on the phone tonight, one expession comes to mind when I think of Kerry and his latest rhetoric on the "missing explosives". Give an idiot enough rope, and they will hang themselves.

Kerry needs to quit taking headlines from the NYSlimes, and get his fact straight. On the other hand, I HOPE HE DOESN'T! Let him keep making an arse out of himself!

P.S. My condolences to CBS....LOL

It is instructive that Kerry always refers people to the TV news as validation of the conditions in Iraq. He doesn't refer you to returning soldiers or his Senate counterparts who have actually been there.

If JFK really believed in these troops, he would have already been to Iraq and told them himself.
