IMO .. he didn't take anything .. he knew what the NYT and CBS was going to do
My mother use to say .. you can tell as many lies as you want .. but the truth WILL catch up to you
The truth always wins
I agree, but think Kerry had to scramble on this one. The timing was not what he would have preferred. This mis-information was planned to be aired on 60 Minutes on Sunday night before the election.
The NYSlimes, in their greed, got a line on it and ran with the story. So that left Kerry having to pull out his already composed speeches about this sham story less than a week ahead of time.... TOO FUNNY! THE LIBERAL MEDIA AND KERRY IS IMPLODING BEFORE OUR EYES!
Neither Kerry or Edwards have been in IRAQ since the start of this war.
BUT they "know it all" LOL
The STORY the way it should be.
Kerry and the MSM today whining about the %1 of weapons, possibly including the most damaging type, nuclear, that disappeared while COALITION FORCES where kept from crossing the borders by THE UNITED NATIONS. United Nations members were involved in selling Saddam the prohibited weaponry that could be discovered now by the Coalition Forces, bringing one of their main cash cows to a halt.

GO CHENEY GO!
The N.Y.Sun article came out and was posted to FR! It's very good;go read it.:-)
Well .. you can believe what you want .. but I don't necessarily think just 3 pounds of the HNX or RDX stuff which brought down Pan Am 103 should be considered "no big deal".
There's already a statement here from a military guy who was there at the time we got to Al CACA, and he says his commanding officer had intel as to what they would find there. They didn't find it - it was gone before we got there.
I also believe it was gone before we got there. Even El Baradei's testimony before the UN also suggested that the stuff was gone, maybe months before.
Nothing explosive is "no big deal" but in the whole mix of things... there are an awful lot of explosives in the hands of an awful lot of bad guys around the world including in Iraq. Where ever they got what they have-- they can get more. It's not the availability of explosives that makes terrorism the problem that it is.
What we're talking about is some more explosives, or rather the components of certain explosives. Yes, it would be nice to know what happened to them. But they already have lots. That's all I was trying to say.
My mother used to tell me and my siblings that when we were growing up.
Was that the "Bush admin questions timing" article in the NY Sun you're referring to?
Sure will. One thing is for certain. Nobody is talking about the issues that the NYT wanted them to talk about. Nobody is sitting around saying, gee, did Bush fail to secure those weapons? Nope, now just about everyone is asking at the very least, gee, were those weapons ever really there?
In short, just as in Rathergate, the media has become the story.
Nope,the one by Liscome(sp?),about Kerry.
My mother used to tell me that it was always far easier to tell the truth, becuase liers tend to forget what they've said and ALWAYS get found out.
Nevermind the fact the NYT made Bush's case for going to war in an article designed to bring his candidacy down. The one thing missing from the NYT article is the timeline of events. This is how the NYT is making their story credible by omitting the very obvious.
OK, because I'm perusing the NY Sun website now. :) I'll look for that particular reporters name under the headlines. :)
No offense, but after today, the NYT article is far from credible, much less seeming to be credible.
Hey I found it, it was under the article I was just looking over. :)
Exactly. But you can bet your lucky stars the NYT will continue to run with the lie.
