our troops had not gone into Iraq as John Kerry apparently thinks they should not have, that is 400,000 tons of weapons and explosives that would be in the hands of Saddam Hussein, who would still be sitting in his palace instead of jail," the vice president told supporters in his first comment on the controversy that erupted Monday.

Al Qa Qaa?
Al Caca!
How many flatbed semi-tractor trailers were needed to haul away 251-380 tons? Hauled to where?
Also, without the war, Saddam was free to sell or use the stuff however he wanted. I'd say the war is a wash regarding the status of this stuff.

And no need to prove they actually existed, either. If you can't find them they never existed, right? No matter who thought they did (before they didn't), right? If this much high explosive could just up and disappear, why not the missing WMDs?

Thank you, Mr. Vice President. As long as Kerry/NYT keep lying about this, the administration needs to be telling the truth in a high volume way. Some lies can be ignored. One week before the election, this is a lie that needs to be addressed vigorously.

Thanks for the ping. Cheney says it in a way that speaks for President Bush. President Bush must remain presidential throughout all of this.

"Now John Kerry sitting 6,000 miles away, he is trying to cast doubt on these amazing performances" by U.S. forces in Afghanistan and Iraq, Cheney said. "
This is the real John Kerry..doing what he does best since 1971...undermining our troops and our mission.

A couple of questions:
1. If the IAEA sealed the explosives, and told the US about it, why wouldn't they tell the which building it was in, so no "search" would be required?
2. Who thinks that a dictator, about to go to war, would honor the "seal" of the UN weapons inspectors and just say "Gee, too bad I can't use those explosives in the war"
3. How do they know that the particular explosives they are referring to were not moved and have already been destroyed in one of the other weapons dumps?

President Bush needs to come out strong on this one!
I know he likes to take the high road, but the NYSlimes, CBS, and the rest need to be exposed.

As Kerry denigrated our troops in Viet Nam and Iraq as president he probably wouldn't hesitate to use them as cannon fodder. I can see some dangerous probabilities should he decide to "cut and run" from Iraq.
To take it a step further, once the Mid East become destabilized I hope Kerry has a
plan to provide oil for everybody.
