2nd BDE (502nd INF Reg) were the guys over at al-Qaqa
3rd BN, 3rd BDE (187th INF) was already in Baghdad with 3rd ID, Fighting the "unknown" war.

YET ANOTHER SERVICEMAN REFUTES THE TIMES ACCOUNT [10/26 05:23 PM]
From yet another Kerry Spot reader with a ".mil" e-mail address:
You are correct in your bottom line conclusion. Here is a second follow up.
I was serving as a [identifying information removed by the Kerry Spot] staff member during the time in question. The Commander on the site had complete real time intelligence on what to expect and possibly find at the Al-QaQaa depot. The ordinance in question was not found when teams were sent in to inspect and secure the area. When this information was relayed, Operational plans were adjusted and the unit moved forward. Had the ordinance in question been discovered, a security team would have been left in place.

The 101st is stationed in Ft. Campbell, Ky. which is actually on the TN/KY border and within radio range of 1510 WLAC and 99.9 WWTN, two very popular talk shows featuring local and national radio talk hosts. I will forward this to them.

The most popular MOS/Branch in the entire Army must have a lot of FReepers.
Hell, if I were Branch CBN or whatever they are calling it now, I'd be real excited to let everyone know what I saw in a combat environment.
It will be some time before those Troops are posting about their adventures in the sandbox. Security being a priority and all of that!
I sent this to my paper, to my friend that works there...I am hoping he can tell me how to get it in the Ft Bragg online edition we have here....maybe it will get some responce....'course the 101st is not stationed there, but the 82nd is and Im sure some of the guys will know the 101st..I'll let everyone know what I find out when my friend emails me if he does
