Latest Zogby Tracking Shows Big Shift for Bush (Monday, 25 October, 2004)
NEWSMAX ^ | Monday, 25 October, 2004

The latest Zogby tracking poll out Sunday -- with just ten days until Election Day -- shows President Bush and Senator Kerry still locked in a two-point standoff -- 48% to 46%.

But Zogby notes the President has turned in a second day of strong polling.

Pollster John Zogby: "Another good single day of polling for President Bush.

In today's sample alone, he leads 50% to 43% - the first time we've seen either candidate hit 50%.

Each candidate continues to tighten his own constituency, and Undecided voters are now at only 4%."

The telephone poll of 1207 likely voters was conducted from Thursday through Saturday (October 21-23, 2004). The margin of error is +/- 2.9 percentage points.

Excuse me while I rant, briefly...

There's something that's really irritating me in a big way that probably shouldn't, but it does!

Will somebody please tell me what gave the danged MSM the license to steal the true BLUE color of the Republican Party back in 2000 with that election map? Blue is our color! Not Gore's!! Certainly not Kerry's!!!

That Commie Kerry is a RED if there ever was one! That graph you just posted has MY PRESIDENT shown as a RED and that's wrong! I don't like it! It's subliminal and stupid!

Blue is the color of loyalty and character. Those bastard media Democrap lovers have stolen it and I demand it be stopped immediately, OR ELSE!!!

God knows they've stolen and preverted and disembled everything that's good in this entire planet and it has to be stopped, permanently!!!

They can have their bloody red back to represent all the wars they've allowed to get started, killing hundreds of thousands of our men and women. We always have to bring them to an end and even when Nixon tried to bring us "peace with honor," that damned Kerry was dishonoring his homeland with Jane Fonda all over the planet!!!

IMO this is the biggest affront since the beginning of the two party system and it must be rectified, post haste!!! Somebody call the color COPS!!! (/rant)

That is only possible if GWB lost support amongst white males since 2000.

It will be just like it was on Nov 3rd, 1999.

Barbara Streisand and her hollywood clan of communists promised they would leave the country if Bush got elected.

:~)

Well the one that Bush didn't lead was a very screwed up poll. Very well dissected on PoliPundit: I'll borrow from what I posted on this thread:

TIME Poll: Bush Opens 5 Point Lead Against Kerry

This is very fascinating;

Ipsos and Bias

From the first few paragraphs of PoliPundit:

Ipsos and Bias

Well, the new AP/Ipsos poll is out, and just like the last one they put out, it is both unique in its claims and peculiar in its information. This article is meant to address the poll from the perspective of its internal data. To do this effectively, I will first present the poll in the context of the surrounding polls from this week, and then I will compare the salient sectors from the relevant polls.

First off, as many other readers have observed, the AP poll was cited in pretty much every major media center since its release, broadcasting Kerry’s 3-point lead in the AP poll, and ignoring the fact that the AP poll is the only poll presently showing Kerry with the lead; the consensus is that Bush leads by an average of 3 points or so, and there are two major polls showing Bush with 5 point leads, even one with Bush ahead by 8. It’s not AP’s fault that other polls are not cited, but it shows a clear bias by the Old Media, that the outlier should be stressed, and the majority discarded.

That is a good one, isn't it?

Here are a couple of other ones:

People are starting to figure out the real differences between Bush and Kerry.

There is a really good link (if I can find it) showing the Electoral College voting poll.

(In everyone I've seen, the EC elects Bush.)

Well, turnout among Muslim voters is supposed to be REALLY high, and none of those other groups is supposed to go near the polls. /sarcasm

This Bush-is-up-everywhere-but-the-final-numbers polling stuff is b.s. If Kerry doesn't carry the black vote HEAVILY, he hasn't got a prayer, according to most of the conventional wisdom I've seen in past elections when the RAT was getting that percentage.

The real polling won't count until the lawsuits are over. But it sure looks like they're fudging the poll numbers now.

LA Times has an interactive poll that seems interesting, if lagging behind our info:

The electoral-vote predictor is worthless becaue a state's status is etermined solely by the most recent poll. If a skewed poll comes up it can show a state deep into the wrong column. This'll give you an idea of how accurate they are: As i write this, they have Mississippi and North Carolina marked as "weak Bush" states and Virginia as a "barely Bush state. Puh-leeze!
