Jesse Ventura endorses Kerry Updated: 10/22/2004 06:00:30 PM - VIDEO
ST. PAUL - Former Minnesota Gov. Jesse Ventura has officially endorsed Democratic presidential candidate John Kerry.
The announcement was made during a 30-minute news conference at the State Office Building. The former Minnesota Governor was there, but did not make any comments.
Just days ago, Ventura had said that he did not plan to support Kerry or President Bush this election year.
Also at the news conference was former Maine Gov. Angus King, who was the only other third-party governor during Ventura's years in office. He said Ventura changed his mind and decided to endorse Kerry.
Organizers didn't even know Ventura was going to show up until the news conference started. He told reporters who followed him out to his car afterward that he'll be doing interviews in Los Angeles.

I endorse President Bush!
Its equal now! Relax!
People voted for Ventura for the same reason they voted for Perot, because they were tired of the old politicians and he looked like an interesting new guy.
After they got a better look at him, they decided they had made a mistake. Same as Perot. Fool me once, shame on you; fool me twice. . . . Neither of them could get elected dog catcher at this point.
Wow!!! Some meathead with a low IQ endorses Kerry. What a shock.
Ventura kind of reminds me of a Nadar type.
I couldn't be more delighted to hear who Jesse Venture is endorsing. It's one step lower than an endorsement from Donald Duck.
Good question. Everything Jesse has ever done has been weighed under that very consideration. He's worthless.
James George Janos)
Jesse Ventura (born July 15, 1951, as James George Janos) was elected the 38th Governor of Minnesota on November 3, 1998, after a career as professional wrestler, actor, mayor, and radio talk show host. He ran as a candidate for the Reform Party and "shocked the world," as he phrased it, when he unexpectedly beat the major-party candidates: St. Paul mayor Norm Coleman (Republican) and Minnesota Attorney General Hubert "Skip" Humphrey (Democratic-Farmer-Labor). Ventura, who spent considerably less than his opponents, is widely regarded as one of the first candidates to effectively use the Internet in a political campaign. He served as governor from January 4, 1999 to January 6, 2003.
Ventura's slackers are too lazy to show up for a Ventura endorsement. Anyway, Jesse is establishment now. The thrill is gone...
Hey, Jesse, stick to professional wrestling. What a nut!
I'm having a flashback of Grannie and the Beverly Hillbillies...I have NO idea what this means.
Any particulars you would be willing to share?
LOL! Hate to break it to you but Ventura identifies himself as a Libertarian. I guess he must be a communitarian whack-job as well.
Actually, you are pretty easy to figure out.
Ventura's head hit the wrestling mat too many times.
Oh well, there goes my respect for the man. Too bad Gorilla Monsoon ain't around, he'd give him a peace of his mind. Better yet, why don't we send Rowdy Roddy Piper to teach him a lesson? B-)
Jesse received one pile-driver too many.
LOL! Hate to break it to you but Ventura identifies himself as a Libertarian.
Just as you identify yourself as a conservative. --- Jesse is no libertarian. -- You are no conservative, just a whack job.
I guess he must be a communitarian whack-job as well. Actually, you are pretty easy to figure out.
Dream on. You can't even figure out that you've been had by the Rino communitarian's you support.
