Clinton Appointee Judge Rules that PA does not have to send correct absentee ballots to military.
The Philidelphia Inquirer ^

Some of those overseas voters, including soldiers serving in Iraq, are now being asked to pick from an incorrect slate of presidential candidates. And, as a result, they are being deprived of the same options given to voters at home, Justice Department lawyer Amy Zubrensky argued.

They "have the right to correct ballots," she said.

Philadelphia lawyer Mark Aronchick, a special election-law expert hired by the Rendell administration, called the number (of military voters) "a theoretically tiny universe of people."

Bush has to do more than that. The Republican lawyers have a pre-emptive case here of discrimination which they can file in case Bush gets fewer votes in PA.

it won't matter post election, no judge is going to overturn the election and hand PA to Bush. the time to do something about this is now. where is the WH political operation? they ought to be screaming about this, Bush himself ought to be talking about it, this is a winning issue for us.

this is why when people tell me "Rove is a genius", I cringe.

the media elites on our side of the political aisle are too busy selling books, DVDs, Factor gear, streaming video and the like, to get "messy" with issues like this.

Bush has to bring this to the public's attention and tell them that this is the kind of judges he will NOT appoint.

good point

A lady on Rush said 16,000 incorrect ballots - I don't know how many were military.

But .. I also read somewhere that the Pentagon is putting an absentee ballot form on it's website for any military personnel who do not get their ballot on time. They can download the form - print it out - fill it out and mail it.

I didn't finish reading the article, so I don't know what area the form would cover.

The article states that a vote for Nader would be considered as a write-in.

I don't see what the big deal is. The ballots will count as they are now. Where is the disenfranchisement?

As a taxpayer, I think it would money well spent to fly ballots directly to the states from overseas. In my 22 months overseas in the 60's, I never had a problem voting. I guess all of the dim bs is causing a lot of grief. Again, let the military fly the ballots home.

We have just got to get it (and I am not even sure how) where all judges are elected. Then WE THE PEOPLE can fire their bu**s when they pull stunts like this. I think I am on a one-person crusade for this. I am sick of activist judges who just change the rules whenever they want to and we are just left to fume about it but not be able to do anything about it!!!

PA State Representive Stephen Barrar was just on Dom G.'s radio show about Fast Eddie denying our military the right to vote

He suggests that PA Voters contact Rendell's office

The number he gave was 717 787 2500

Every swinging Richard and Renee needs to get out and vote! The dumbos are taking the vote away from our military, just as they tried in Florida 2000.

Thanks for the clarification. I guess that even Clinton could not fire all the Federal Judges. I do remember that what he did was unprecedented.

The military is being sent newer voter ballots, and they are even being given the opportunity to get them online. Never fear, our boys will be voting and I'm sure in record numbers!
