The military is being sent newer voter ballots, and they are even being given the opportunity to get them online. Never fear, our boys will be voting and I'm sure in record numbers!

I am glad to hear the problem is being taken care of. However, along the lines ZIP suggested, a plane dispatched with great fanfare and media coverage to ferry the ballots back and forth would have been great for Pres Bush's campaign. Think of the commercial of Bush sending the aircraft off with the message about every military person being afforded the opportunity to vote for their choice of commander in chief.

Yes but they MUST BE MAILED and RECEIVED in the counties board of election by the 29th. Don't you think this is pushing it? Do you think that the HEAVILY DEM postal workers union will might just lose some ballots?
Remember, military votes more traditionally Republican. Losing 5000 ballots would probably mean 500 - 1000 Dem votes. I bet they see that as an acceptable loss.
