Clinton Appointee Judge Rules that PA does not have to send correct absentee ballots to military.
The Philidelphia Inquirer ^

Posted on 10/21/2004 8:28:16 AM PDT by sportutegrl

Some of those overseas voters, including soldiers serving in Iraq, are now being asked to pick from an incorrect slate of presidential candidates. And, as a result, they are being deprived of the same options given to voters at home, Justice Department lawyer Amy Zubrensky argued.

They "have the right to correct ballots," she said.

Philadelphia lawyer Mark Aronchick, a special election-law expert hired by the Rendell administration, called the number (of military voters) "a theoretically tiny universe of people."

"a theoretically tiny universe of people."

A certain DEMOCRAT leaning 'theoretically tiny universe of people' in Florida in 2000, who claimed their votes were incorrectly submitted or counted (puh-lease), held up the 'results' of the election for weeks.

But our military tends to vote more Republican, so their 'tiny' universe is best ignored by Clinton appointee judges and PA dems like Rendell. Typical Dem bigotry.

Is that "theoretically tiny universe" bigger, smaller, or about the same as the universe of people expected to show up at the wrong precinct to vote?

Some factual observations:

1) The DNC does NOT want Nader on the ballot anywhere;

2) The DNC does NOT want any military vote to be valid;

3) GWB and the Republicans will do NOTHING to stop them.

That judge will be stopped....its a matter of timing on it however. And this is what they know....doing this at the last minute is what they're banking on. I hope someone steps in like the WH...and gets the correct ballots to our soldiers!!!

The way I read this,...it may be to OUR advantage to go with the ones already in the hands of the troops. They're going to vote for the President, regardless... Am I reading this wrong?

You are right in a practical sense. But it seems to me this move softens the "rule of law", possible setting a lax precedent for others to build on...

By the way - interesting screen name! -- per chance, had I already taken the one you would have chosen? ;)

WHP 580 Radio reported this morning that there are 16,000 military personnel from Pennsylvania. They also reported on the horde of lawyers ready to pounce on Pennsylvania after the election if Bush wins to invalidate any "improper" ballot - including those emergency generic ballots issued by the military. Remember - Rendell was the architect of the Flordia recount - he is preparing his vote fraud and army as we speak.

Question for anyone:

I know that while in the military, one belongs to the military. Can an individual memeber (low ranking) file a lawsuit in this matter while still an active member of the Armed Forces?

Ahem. Aren't the Democrats worried about disenfranchising military voters? < /sarcasm >

What has happened to my beloved Commonwealth? The gall of Mr. Rendell’s mouthpiece is to dismiss military absentee votes is disgusting in its arrogance. When did doing the right thing for our servicemen and women become too hard to do?

Philadelphia lawyers on the leash to Mr. Rendell are "a theoretically tiny universe of people," so they shouldn’t have the same voting rights as others.

Judges who disenfranchise military members are "a theoretically tiny universe of people," so they shouldn’t have the same voting rights as others.

Pennsylvania governors are "a theoretically tiny universe of people," so they shouldn’t have the same voting rights as others.

Our troops are a bit busy with the business of national defense right now, but they shall return. In the meantime, I urge my fellow Pennsylvanians to action. If you agree that military men and women, citizens who have volunteered their lives in defense of freedom, the United States, and Pennsylvania deserve the same voting rights as everyone else, call Mr. Rendell at (717) 787-2500 and tell him. Call Mr. Mark Aronchick at (215) 317-7002 or (215) 496-7002 and tell him. Call U.S. District Judge Yvette Kane at (717) 221-3950 or (717) 221-3990 and tell her.

Bush voters and the mentally handicapped.
