Ok, this is just all gossip talk! Please! Just cause #8 doesn't have a women on his arm at every race doesn't make him gay.

And as far as Jeff is concerned I don't like him, but my DH does. Guessing what party he is running for is rediculous. If he doesn't say he is running for Kerry or Bush than we just honestly don't know.

I'm seeing a lot of duplicate posts, including my own. In recent weeks there's often been a big lag between when you post and when it shows on the screen, causing people to re-post because they think the original one didn't "take" or that they forgot to post after previewing.

Clicking on 'Post' is the only way to correctly get out of the 'Posting Comment' screen. If you don't see your post, hit 'refresh' or F5 on your browser.

He grew up in California, and moved to Indiana at age 13. I define hometown as where you left the first patch of skin learning how to ride a bike. Do you have a better definition?

From the official Jeff Gordon website:

http://www.jeffgordon.com/gordon/jg_history1.php

After converting a fairground in their Vallejo, California hometown into a makeshift racetrack, Jeff and John spent their free time running laps until the motor was too hot to run. It was not long after Jeff climbed behind the wheel of his racecar that he wanted to prove his skills in actual races.

I predict Gordon will have a statement about this before this weekend, my bet is that he will say that he is GOP but doesn't want to disclose how he votes..

I also don't see Kevin Harvick, Dale Jarrett, the Burton brothers, Ricky Rudd, Bill Elliot, Richard Petty and a long list of other popular drivers, I would be a lot less impressed with if they voted with the 'dark side'. The Hendrick connection can't be ignored by JJ and TB are voting for the good guys.

Jeff Gordon is a real professional race car driver. And as such his first allegiance is to his career and race team meaning that he isn't going to say something controversial that will get in the way of his racing and offend sponsors who sell products to people of all political leanings. (And did anyone see him jump into the F1 car and hot shoe it within .3 lap times of the car's full time driver THE FIRST TIME HE HAD BEEN IN IT on Speed Channel? Amazing!) Gordon, the first non-good old boy dominant driver in NASCAR was first kidded by the resident drivers as being gay since he was "from California" and this included Dale Earnhardt who later became one of Jeff's best friends on the circuit. I think it is beneath the dignity and overall values most of us on this forum share to degrade someone they don't know and merely repeat mean spirited drivel from those pretending to "know" any of these guys.
