I'll get caught up here in a bit.

In the meantime, some bad news. We need to show this FReeper (sushiman) our support, prayers, and condolences:

My Cousin Eric killed in Green Zone Bombing

A young man from my daughter's HS lost his life then, too. Dennis Pintor from Elida. Unfortunately, I didn't catch his rank when I heard the report on the news. He was a few years younger than my daughter, and she is out of town and I haven't had a chance to ask her if she knew him. Pintor was a West Point grad. Prayers and condolences for Dennis Pintor's family as well; may he rest in God's peace.

We had no problem with the hurricanes ... just a little rain, which was actually needed and welcome. West of here in the mountains it was awful! Some places had over 20 inches of rain. It will take up to a year to repair all the damage to roads ... and several people lost their lives. We certainly can't complain about a few rainy days in this part of the state!

Wish I could get here more often but I'm not having as much time for FReeping these days. I certainly keep our troops in my prayers, though ... and support them wholeheartedly.

I do my best Kathy.

War stinks.

Its hard to get folks to understand why men would lay their lives down for something bigger themn themselves.

It's always good to see you. You are such a wonderful supporter of our troops. And you have such fun graphics to share. I loved the Ping a Ling for Operation Season's Greetings. Glad the hurricanes left you alone. They really were bad for some.
