Heard of 'em? Gosh, yes.

And eaten a ton of them right out of my back yard when I was growing up. They are really good ... YUM! You don't eat the skin usually ... it's tough.

In eastern NC, they make wine out of them (look up Duplin Winery on Google ... for some reason I can't get a link to work).

And I've eaten (though never made one) a luscious grape pie made with scuppernongs. Believe it or not, the pies almost taste like chocolate pudding, though the grapes don't.

and you can borrow his power tools anytime!
Hubby has been asked to give a speech supporting the Military tomorrow...we worked on his speech awhile tonight..

Oops! Meant to ping you to #136, too. Just wanted you to know you have back-up on the delights of scuppernongs.

Best wishes on that speech.

Im having trouble reaching the emotional amongst us.

One of our Freepers lost a cousin in the green zone today.

And an aqaintence of mine and close friend of a close friend of mine is overthere now.

Kelly is really buying into the bring the troops home stuff.

I have to remind her that Jeremy feels strongly about serving.

She thinks that Jeremy joined for Afgahnistan and that Iriq is out of order (jeremy is in iraq)

I cant seem to make her understand that it is all the same effort.
